First off let me say that the location is superb. You are one road back from the beach and can be swimming in the sea after only a 2 minute walk. We couldn't have been happier. The house was easy to get to and the postcode takes you straight to the property.
The living space is more than adequate for four adults and two children. It might be a bit tight for six adults though. The kitchen was an okay size and certainly usable. The bedrooms were all a decent size. There were two bathrooms with showers in both.
However the photos give off the idea of a high end finish and there were a few issues in the property. The master bedroom door doesn't shut, for example. The windows were covered in cobwebs and didn't seem to have been cleaned in a while. Not normally an issue but during this recent heatwave the building needed them all open to cope with the heat. There were fans provided but one was broken.
The water pressure is probably the biggest bug bear, especially if you have more than two people or families sharing the space. As soon as someone turns on a tap on the bottom floor or uses the dishwasher you lose all pressure on the top floor meaning showering and cooking or cleaning have to be done at different times if you want more than a dribble out of the shower.
The top floor (as this holiday home is actually across the first and second floor) is actually the attic level meaning the entire floor was baking hot and nothing we did could cool it down. Not ideal with a 4 year old and a 1 year old infant. If you did have all the windows open the children would probably end up high from the weed being chained smoked from the apartment below!
The building is actually split into 6 or 7 different apartments. Not an issue in itself but does make the drive and parking area quite busy. Especially if you want to use the electric charging (which is a good added feature) as you have to effectively block the drive.
A few small issues add up to a bigger turn off for us. Overall the location is amazing but due to everything else we just couldn't recommend staying here im afraid.
We couldn’t here our normal cottage but Nab house was better. Conveniently located for ships & village or a blustery walk along the beach
The property is very comfortable, with great facilities. This was especially good considering the great British weather let us down on a few days but it was nice to hunker down and watch some films or play cards.
