"We stayed here for 3 nights just before the season started, and it was lovely and quiet. The staff are extremely helpful and the lake rooms are beautiful. We had housekeeping come in and clean every day we were there, which we weren't expecting. The breakfast buffet is perfect. The only things we didnt like is that you have a limit of 2 very small coffee's per person at breakfast, and the mini-bar has very limited tea/coffee, no milk and it doesn't get replenished during your stay. Also, outside the rooms there are extremely loud pest alarms going off every 15 seconds. This spoilt the peaceful atmosphere quite a bit and was very annoying. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back! "

"What can I say? This hotel was absolutely amazing, from the top-notch hotel service at the front desk to the property cleanliness; it outshined every hotel I’ve ever been to in my life. The town of Menaggio is very walkable and can be seen in half a day, so if you want to fill up your itinerary, you can take a ferry to Bellagio, or Varenna. We opted for breakfast, and oh my goodness, it was amazing. I absolutely loved their orange juice, as well as the variety of food they offered, from the charcuterie to the main dishes to the snacks. Absolutely amazing. The hotel itself is a pretty big property for being in Maggio. Its cleanliness, gym, indoor spa with an indoor pool, sauna, and resting areas were absolutely amazing and should definitely be utilized. I want to thank Lorena, who was so helpful throughout our stay, from beginning to end. She was absolutely amazing, and the women at the front desk who assisted us absolutely deserve a raise because they work so hard and helped us with absolutely everything. I proposed to my girlfriend right in front of the hotel, and the hotel staff accommodated all my requests in helping me propose to my girlfriend of nine years, and it was just so perfect. They were helpful, kind to all of us, and we would definitely go back in a heartbeat. This is well worth your money because who knows if you’ll ever be back again so make those unforgettable memories with Grand Hotel Victoria!"

"Nice hotel with amazing views. Very good restaurant and amazing service. Room had a private balcony with wonderful views, which was perfect! (Bathroom lighting is very dim, hard to see anything.) Note: Nothing much around, with only two other restaurants within walking distance, and since there are no sidewalks, you much walk along street, which feels very dangerous. But it is what everyone does, so one just does it. (Not hotel's fault) Local bus was very easy to use to get to other locations. "

"Very pleased we chose this hotel. All staff were very polite and efficient. Could not find fault with the room or service and the free tea,coffee,cake, croissants in reception was very nice although personally I missed having a kettle in the room. Food availablity and quality good at the adjacent restaurant. "

"Beautiful hotel with excellent 5 star service. You should know that the directions to arrive will direct you through narrow roads filled with pedestrians...that IS the correct route, just go very slowly through the people. We loved our stay there."
