"We only stayed for one night, but we will come back to this hotel when we return. The room was clean, the spa was good, and there was secure parking (we travelled on a motorbike, so this was a bonus). It was a 10 minute walk to the beach and 15 to the town."

MAGNIFICENT NEW VILLA CLOSE BEACH WITH HEATED SWIMMING POOL

"Good communication with the host prior to the holiday and upon check in, answered all questions promptly.The property is in a lovely location for easy access to Etel and the beaches,with easy cycling from right opposite the property. The outside space and the lovely pool were great, though the seating around the pool was old and a couple of the sunbeds were broken which was a shame. We did raise this to the host and he stated ‘yes I know’ but did not offer replacements.The downstairs open plan space was great for kids and adults and the kitchen well equipped. It was a shame the large fridge was broken during our stay.Unfortunately the cleanliness of the property was variable. When we pulled out the high chair it was covered in pet fur and we found clumps of pet fur all around the property. Behind beds and larger furniture had not been cleaned and the carpets in 2 of the bedrooms had a strong unpleasant odour, maybe petsThe bedrooms each have their own ‘theme’ but they are all a bit tired and could do with some modernisation.It’s worth noting that although the property is advertised as 3 showers and 3 toilets, only 1 room (downstairs) is en-suite. The 5 rooms upstairs share one toilet and bathroom and the other facilities are downstairs in the utility room area. All toilets are in rooms without windows and minimal ventilation. Overall, we as 3 families had a great week in this house in Etel, but for what we paid, we were disappointed with some aspects of the property."

"Castel Clara is a truly stunning hotel in one of the most beautiful locations we’ve visited. The scenery is incredible, the atmosphere is wonderfully peaceful and relaxing, and it was the perfect place to unwind for a couple of days. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful before and throughout our stay, arranging our shuttle, bike hire and restaurant reservations with ease. The food was excellent too – we enjoyed two fantastic meals and a superb breakfast. Our only minor issue was the lack of air conditioning during a particularly hot spell. However, we completely understand and respect the hotel’s commitment to sustainability, and it certainly didn’t detract from what was a fantastic stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would highly recommend Castel Clara to anyone looking for a memorable stay on Belle-Île."

"We had a great stay at Diana Hotel. Really close to the beach, nice swimming pool and lounge chairs, clean rooms. Helpful staff. Walking distance from restaurants and shops. Our kids wished we stayed longer at that hotel."
