Quiet location yet right in town with an easy walk to restaurants (including the new Bread & Butter), shops, and the waterfront. On street parking is plentiful and we've been able to park right in front of the hotel each August stay. Onancock is a peaceful place to stay on the Chesapeake Bay. A great value...we would 100% stay here again."

"The property was amazing. You couldn't find a more relaxing, beautiful or tranquil spot. The house was great, very clean and full of amenities. We cooked almost every meal home and the host has every tool/item you could ask for. The pool was the highlight of my son's vacation and it is great. Goes from 3ft for younger swimmers to a soft sloping deep end. The walls are angled for swimmers learning as well. The deck and space provided in the backyard is amazing, mostly shaded for hot days but enough sun for those who want it. The area cannot be anymore relaxing, the views of this place are amazing. The sunsets/sunrises on tdock are immaculate. We caught a full moon at night and it was beautiful. The host communication was great. Had some trouble with the WiFi and she walked us right through in minutes of sending a message. If you are looking to relax and have a 'lazy'cation as my little guy put it, grab this if available."

"The location & view were everything and we quite satisfied w that. On the flip side these were our observations-*Flower beds sadly overgrown and whole yard needs a good trim. *Brick path to hot tub needs attention, or just removed*Window unit in sunroom completely rusted & unusable. Should be removed before someone gets hurt. *Long hairs inside refrigerator and freezer*Internet connection was unstable so Roku reception was intermittent *Fireplace unit in sunroom interferes with the view and makes the room too crowded. Should be moved or removed since it's all about the view from that room. *Take an UMBRELLA or Canopy so you'll have shade!!! None are provided."

"Great deal for a large, modernized house near Cape Charles. House seems to have original farmhouse structure with an expansion. The bathroom upstairs had some ants and bugs, but muggy weather does that. Mosquitoes were intense but the screened porch was awesome and the porch swing and tire swing would be great at another time of year (or with a lot of bug spray). A/C and Internet were very good. Everything was very easy in terms of checking in and out, and messaging the host. A few notes:-Bring your own Tupperware for when you clean out the fridge or have leftovers. -Lots of dog items about! I saw bowls and some toys on back porch. -No beach stuff so bring your own if you plan to go to the water. -We didn’t see recycling at the house, so we dropped off our stuff at the very convenient recycling center on the way out (entrance across from tiny houses rentals)"

"We took 2 rooms during a road trip, arriving close to midnight with our extended family of 6. We only stayed one night, mainly to rest, and overall it served that purpose very well. On the positive side, the place was clean, The beds were comfortable, and it was a very good value for money. We were able to get a good night’s rest after a long drive. The only downside was the noisy air conditioning, which made it a bit less comfortable during the night. Overall, it was a good short stay and met our basic needs for a stopover (at that budget price!)"
