Location ideal for visiting the spectacular Northumberland coast line and towns. Although the weather not too kind we largely managed to avoid the rain during our numerous walks. Great for wildlife, birders will love it. Accommodation was clean comfy but if we're honest and we mean this respectfully it is in need of bringing up to date, lick of paint, coat hooks screwing back on, extra blankets would be a bonus as would a new set of pots and pans. Oh, and the oven also needs a good internal clean. Overall though we loved the setting and location. Host was very helpful and communication good.
I had a lovely week's stay in Cheviot Cottage. The bed was comfortable and the shower excellent. It was really nicely placed for visiting the Northumbrian coast, with it's miles of walks, and Lindisfarne.
My only slight complaint would be that some of the crockery was not as clean as it could be, but there was no washing up liquid, cloth or brush provided. I bought my own, when I realised. As I did with a bath towel, having not seen the comment that towels were not provided (but available) at the bottom of the small print.
Overall I would stay here again. I loved the free ranging birds around the property and hearing the Mynah bird whistling!
