"Excellent for; Great location at the heart of the old city is San Sebastian. Wide room with comfortable bed. Noted; Very noisy with loud music till mid night around 2 am. Strongly recomends to have earplugs. Limited hot water from shower only for 5 min, and it becomes cold water, take care."

This is on the other side of San Sebastián so added several km to an already long hike...in addition the check in process is the worst I've ever experienced. It took us 2 hours + as there is no person at the front desk to help. "I stayed here for 2 days. Firstly, hotels.com forgot to send me late check-in instructions, which I emailed them about. The room was ok. The pillow was really uncomfortable. There is no lock on the room. Shower was ok. I wake up to construction noise in the morning. There is no proper kitchen and if someone is cooking you can smell it from your bed. "

"The hostel is new and very nicely designed in a good area, 1 block from Zurriola surf beach and under 10 min walk to the old town. Bare essentials kitchen and good wifi everywhere. There is a bar/cafe downstairs and the actual dorms are right next door in a residential apartment so you need to be peaceful in there. The owners David and Haritz are two of the nicest, hospitable guys you'll ever meet who will make your stay a memorable one. Also try the salmon toastie!"

"It was a surprise to find this hostel in hotels.com, since these kind of lodging usually doesn't appear on the search. First of all, this is not a place for everyone. If you like confort, cleanliness, gourmet food and having your own personal place, then this place is not for you. Having said this, I absolutely loved my weekend here! I met loads of awesome people and had a blast of a time. The free surf classes and beach time were great, the food provided was more than enough and the remote...

"I got double charged twice on this property by Expedia and the owner! Nightmare experience Paid for it the minute I booked on Expedia. Then the owner demanded payment in cash before letting me in. No customer service from either party. Disappointing experience and would not recommend it"

"We arrived at the property with no information about how to access our room. Whoever is managing the property is no where to be found... basically asked another person who had access to the building the code to get in and found the key to our room in the door. Also, no fridge, no laundry, at the site as promised. Great location though at night too noisy to sleep with the window open so had to muscle through the heat."

"The building holds the heat and without AC the only option is to open the window, this does not work as the street is exceptionally noisy with trucks buses and motorcycles. Also for the price, I expected it to be bigger, hot water that doesn’t run out, house keeping, or someone around to ask questions. We don’t normally complain either. Positives are it was reasonably clean and location was great."

The attention and kindness of the owner of the property were superb. A unique place, with a wonderful landscape and great welcome. We truly recommend!"

"We have just had three nights here and what a fantastic three nights they were. The property is lovely and in the perfect location, just a short stroll from old town (5 mins) and new town (5 mins). Despite being so central it was very quiet, and we had two balconies with our room (204!) including a glimpse of the sea! All the staff were lovely and friendly, and provided a map with recommendations. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you "
