The room was clean and spacious. The heating was on when arrived so the rooms where lovely and warm.
Great welcome. Lovely room. Restaurant very busy that night but we were warned about the wait for food and it was acceptable.
Breakfast delicious and good service throughout.
Very pleasant 2 night stay. Didn’t find the bed very comfortable. Had no housekeeping on the second day, although someone had obviously been in the room as we had another bottle of water. Nice powerful shower and lovely white fluffy towels
Ate in the restaurant on both nights, which was fine and very convenient..
An exceptional experience - super friendly and helpful staff, gorgeous breakfast made with high quality local ingredients all in a beautiful country-pub settling. The room is fresh and bright with lovely free toiletries and bottled water and tea and coffee. Modern but cosy. A perfect escape and with Southwold 10 minutes away by car.
We liked the brightness, spaciousness & cleanliness of the room. The breakfast was excellent. Local produce of high quality was served. Perfect bread and delicious coffee.Evening meals also very good although a little expensive. The bathroom decor and shower needed attention. We would definitely stay there again.
Your site is wrong.
The address misses the village where hotel is and post code navigation takes you to wrong location. Also the phone number for hotel on your site is wrong also! Poor service from you not the hotel which was great
We had a lovely stay at the Five Bells Inn. The family room was comfortable, clean and nicely furnished with plenty of room for 4 people and a dog. The pub is cosy and we had great evening meals on both nights we stayed there. It was amazing value and included breakfast (which was delicious). If you want to be close to the Suffolk coast but want to avoid Southwold prices, then this is a great find :)
Absolutely charming place. The room was clean, lovely and modern, everything new and clean. The staff at the pub was friendly and food was nice.

Worst Hotel
I stay at hotels all year round due to my work. This is the worst hotel that i have stayed in. I stayed for 4 nights. 1st Night the room was freezing and the boiler was playing up. 2nd morning breakfast not served until 8am which is not ideal as i had to be at a place of work for 9am. I went into breakfast at 8am and ordered the kippers. At 8.25 am i asked if the breakfast was ready and the young lad made enquiries and returned to tell me that the chef hadn't heard him. I left for work and had to grab a banana from a nearby shop. Morning three, no hot water and got the kippers on this occasion(big mistake) I wouldn't feed them to my dog. Night 4 no heating again. Avoid Avoid Avoid.

Room 3. Spacious and comfortable furniture from IKEA. Don’t need to go through the pub to access these rooms and can park close. Staff are cheerful and pleasant. The food fine both evening and breakfast. Didn’t like that room 2 bathroom shares the wall with Room 3 and was noisy when used by the guest
Excellent country Inn: immaculately clean and spacious rooms, comfortable beds, high-bandwidth wi-fi and friendly, helpful staff. Food in the restaurant was very tasty, as was the extensive selection of Adnam's craft beers.
Very reasonably priced room, with all the amenities that you would expect for a short break.
Excellent landlord who made sure that our visit was memorable. Great food and hospitality, would recommend!
Lovely place to stay. Staff were fantastic, very accommodating to my 10 year old!! Room was lovely and light. Fab shower.
Only place I have stayed in that had 3 big fluffy pillows per person the room......I usually have to ask for more.
Food was great too.
Highly recommended
We would thoroughly recommend The Five Bells as an excellent place to stay. The staff where very friendly and helpful. The rooms where clean and very comfortable. The food and service was brilliant both for an evening meal and the breakfast. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to our friends.
The rooms had recently been refurbished very comfy bed plenty of room space plenty of complementary drinks and biscuits complementary shampoo and shower gel , the signal for the tv wasn't good signal kept going off but we wasn't there to watch tv all day ,the pub is not to far away from the seaside resort of Southwold 3 miles . Main meals are large and reasonable priced breakfast plenty of it and plenty of choice staff are very pleasant and very welcoming overall we had a lovely stay
