This is a beautifully modernized property. It is perfectly located in Beauvais, France in the center of everything. We would highly recommend this hotel. The breakfast and dinner in their dining room were excellent too.

The Mercure is located near the cathedral, but is difficult to reach by car, and its signage is minimal. On-site parking very limited. Cost is high, for lack of competition in city center. Service staff was good, dinner excellent (although dining room mostly empty). Shower had no door or curtain, so although good, water went everywhere.

We choose this hotel as a stop over on our journey to meuzac near Limoges. The hotel was modern and the staff welcoming and was everything we expected from a quality branded 4 star! However, reviews about the breakfast were confirmed €17 pp, yes, a wide selection to choose, but the hot food was luke warm and dried up, with no sliced bread for toasting! We inquired about fresh ,hot food and toasting bread and was told 'our suppiers are slow because of the french national holidays ". So not value for money for the breakfast, we could have gone on a short walk into town for breakfast, for €6.90 or €9 but not as inviting as our 4 star restaurant/ breakfast room. So nice hotel, disappointing breakfast.

The hotel was clean, modern, comfortable and a good location for the town centre although the railway station is the other side of town (20 mins walk). Buses from the airport (number 6 run frequently and cost €1). They go to the centre which is about a 6 min walk to the hotel. Beauvais is lovely. The cathedral is fantastic. Only negative is €17 each for breakfast.

Staff welcomed us warmly on arrival. Then my husband left his glasses at the property and they were really helpful about getting them back to us after we left and couldn’t return for them. The room was spacious and clean with a nice shower and comfortable bed.

Comfy, convenient, typical mercure
Exactly what you would expect from a mercure. Clean, modern, a known standard. Only stopped one night to break up a long journey so can’t comment on service, but check in/out was fine. We didn’t have a view on the cathedral but think you have to pay extra for that. Nice and quiet room on the 2nd floor, comfy bed, and a useful mini fridge for storing food for our journey the next day. The hotel only has a handful of its own parking spaces and we ended up parking in the public area adjacent. We grabbed the last space but at least it was free. There is a large public car park on the opposite side but assume you would have to pay for that.

We have a special category of rooms that have a cathedral view that cost a bit more. It is true that our parking is quite small( only 5 spaces) but there are plenty of other options available that you mentioned. The big city parking is free from 6Pm until 9 AM and is free on Sundays. This is a great hotel in the center of Beauvais, close to the cathedral. We were there for a family reunion. Our adult children also liked the hotel and its location.
