"Awesome house right on Lake James and really close to Houghton Lake. We loved relaxing on the back deck and hanging by the bonfire, and kids were in the water almost the entire time. House was like new, well taken care of with lots of space. Had everything we needed and host was very accommodating since we had extra people part of the time. Groundskeeper was super helpful when needed otherwise we didn’t even know he was there. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Our stay at 3 bedroom cottage was enjoyable. The house was nicely decorated and very clean upon arrival, exceeding expectations. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking supplies, and the comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep. The location was ideal, with close stores for groceries or food. You are able to see houghton lake from the location as it’s at the beginning of the canal. Fun to watch boats come in and out. Only negative is that you are unable to swim at the property. You can either rent a boat or go to local beach to swim. Communication with the property managers was excellent, and they were responsive and helpful throughout the stay. The quiet surroundings and the lovely outdoor patio were particularly enjoyable. This rental is recommended to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable family getaway. "
