"Beautiful location! Away from the hustle and bustle, but close to sea/nature places like Petit Manan Wildlife Refuge. Coastal hiking nearby. Rugged Maine beach is part of property. Lovely home to spend a week at."

"The Machias River Inn being my first time being there, and living in the state of Maine it was 10/10. The cleanest room that you can tell was cleaned properly (I’ve stayed elsewhere in the state and can tell when housekeeping leaves behind trash visible in plain sight it wasn’t cleaned or swept). Helen’s restaurant has the best pie and it’s right on the property. The waterfront views were remarkable! We watched seals every morning. Also not to take away from guides but honestly if you go to any beach nearby you’re going to see Seals and puffins if you don’t want to pay the cost of a boat tour!"

"This house was about the best managed and well maintained home I have stayed in. The kitchen was highly functional and well appointed, the sleeping and living spaces were very comfortable and roomy. Needless to say the unimpeded view of the water was spectacular and the proximity to the petit manan trails was also a big plus. We had a great time in large part because of the great home!"
