"My little weekend getaway was made perfect because i have picked to stay in this little coastal gem. The staff was very friendly, and they keep this motel clean. It cannot be compared to big chain hotels because this building is older and it shows wear of typical property battered by coastal weather. What makes it much better is the feel of home away from home. Our room had everything we needed - microwave, coffee maker, TV, refrigerator, comfortable bed and shower with surprisingly strong water pressure. They welcomed our dog, we enjoyed sitting on the huge back patio in their adirondack chairs overlooking large grassy field leading to steps to get to the beach. There was always fresh coffee in the office and friendly chatter."

"My wife and I stayed here for a week in August 2026, and it was a wonderful experience. The cottage was perfectly located with our balcony overlooking the beach. It was well furnished and beautifully decorated with ocean-themed decorations. Everything was very clean, and the trash and laundry facilities were close by. We would definitely return here again in the future. 10/10!"

"Natural soaps, perfect view, clean, comfortable (mostly…. The bedroom adjacent to the 101 was loud.) but the main bedroom is great! And the very best was that our hosts were so accommodating! When we were not happy with the pots and pans, they immediately brought us a brand new set that worked wonderfully! We really enjoyed our stay! And had a lovely time watching movies as a family, walking the beach, heading to the Oregon Coast aquarium, going into Yachats for an excellent dinner, and loved the overall excellent condition of the cottage! Great value! Highly recommend!"

"The Sanderling Cottage was great for my family of five with pet. The home is right on the beach access and the ocean is very visible from the unit and was great to take in during our stay. Everything was very clean and as pictured. The kitchen could have used a few more supplies, but we got along with what was present. The units are very close to each other, so be prepared to get cozy with a few of your favorite new beach best friends."
