"This is a unique find, we enjoyed the history of the property. Typical Italian streets to maneuver to get to the huge villa and the gate entrance is tricky with a bigger vehicle. The villa rental part is just a portion of the house but plenty of room, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Kitchen good but if you want breakfast order in advance. English is not one of the owners languages but he uses phone to translate. There are no laundry facilities as stated on expedia but the owner generously...

"Overall, it is a nice small hotel. Three star rating does reflect my experience and it is nice to spend a night before flying away. There was nothing particular in the surrounding area. I liked free shuttle bus ride to the airport. Also, breakfast was excellent."

"The property didnt respond to my shuttle request on the expedia app or phone. They did reply quickly to the email. Airport shuttle pickup is available only until 22.45, and was 20 min late leaving for the airport in the morning. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Property is a bit dated and there were mold spots in the shower. All in all ok for an overnight stay for a layover"

"Location is ideal, only 10 min walk to train station and bit less to lake. All staff were great. It is a Viking tour hotel so you do get a lot of people staying but the hotel facilities can handle it. Breakfast was a wide range the only criticism is that the hot food isn’t hot. Cold scrambled eggs, bacon. The room we had Mountain View was big enough for a week no issues. Lake maggorie is vast and traveling everywhere on the ferry can get expensive. Worth the money is the Maggiore express on the weekends that take you to Locarno in Switzerland and scenic train back. All in all a lovely 7 days."

"The hotel itself is definitely older but we stayed in room 804 and it had been completely updated! It was extremely comfortable and very nice. The hotel staff was amazing! They were very friendly and helpful. We were there for a wedding and they helped us get all of our suits and dresses pressed in about an hour. It was incredible! For the price you can’t beat this hotel or the location."
