Great for two night stay near Bassano del Grappa. Only downside if that is important, was the town is a 20min walk so a little far after many grappa tastings. Restaurant is excellent but on the pricy side to eat there every night but is recommended once in the stay. Bed mattress one of us found a bit hard the other was okay with it so it depends what you prefer. Choice of pillows was great though. Excellent choice at breakfast especially considering not many guests during our stay but the breakfast buffet was fully loaded with wide choice.
I really love this property (the buildings, my room, the garden, and especially the staff!), however had an unfortunate experience my first night at their onsite restaurant--AND (my bad), posted a negative review before giving the restaurant an opportunity to resolve the issue.
That situation has since changed, = they were as dismayed as i was once they heard about my experience, and have since made every effort to correct it. As a result, I hope to book at the property again next year, when returning with my daughter and perhaps additional friends, to attend the Biennale in Venice--from which they are only a 1-hour (& $7 EU!) train ride away!
This is a beautiful hotel in wonderful grounds. However, I feel that they should keep tables available for dinner for guests who have rooms booked. We had 3 rooms booked and had booked here specifically because there was a restaurant, we were arriving quite late and the food had been so good last time we were in the area. We called on the way from the airport to reserve a table only to be told that they had a function on and we would have to find somewhere else to eat. We did not know the area and arrived in the centre of town around 9.15pm. We couldn't find anywhere to park, so didn't eat until after 10.15 (and this was only because the guys running the restaurant kept their kitchen open for us). We eventually got to the hotel around midnight. Absolutely shattered. Not an ideal start to a business week in Italy. Other than that everything was fine.
Beautifully re-purposed estate. The hotel hosted a large event one night, making the restaurant unavailable; and the noise from the crowd was too loud to sleep until well after midnight. Similarly, the noise from the restaurant on our second night was too noisy to sleep until after midnight. The room is designed in a strange manner that puts the bed up three steps on a platform, and the window controls are not within reach without an unnaturally high step up on another platform against the well. The photo of the pond in the ad is misleading.

Men aircon funka dårlig.
Checkin was very friendly. Although the restaurant was fully booked, I got offered a table and some excellent wines and grappa (the main reason I stayed there :-))
Only in my room internet coverage was very slow / not existing. Given that i was on a motorcycle trip and I wanted to plan the ride for the next day, this was a little uncomfortable for me.

We only stayed one night as we were in the area for the Andrea Bocelli concert. We were offered an early dinner and a bus to the concert in Marostica which was fantastic, it saved any hassles for us. The Hotel is in a lovely setting, with a fabulous restaurant attached. We were only able to book a standard room as the Hotel was full when I booked, however it was great, everything we needed for one night. I would definitely recommend this Hotel.
The hotel restaurant excellent for FISH...another restaurant BAUTO's in Bassano was superb for beef and fresh pasta! The consierge people were ALL cordial, helpful & happy! They made the experience worth it. It was an ancient country hotel with a chic appeal. I would recommend it as the best in the area.
An out of the (tourist) way destination. Location is wonderful; close to Venice and mountains. The old town is mostly pedestrian only which adds to the charm. There is always something going on during the day or evenings. The weather is perfect in this part of Italy; warm days but a nice, cool breeze at night.
Wonderful
I was here on business when it first opened and now with the love of my life.......the rooms are comfy and well appointed, the grounds well maintained, breakfast was nice and our dinner was GREAT!
