Ved aftentid kom værten og spurgte om jeg ville se månenog det viste sig at hendes mand var astro fotograf, sikken en oplevelse, fik endda set jupiter med 3 af månerne. En oplevelse uden lige, som bare var en ekstra bonus. Værelset var en hel lejlighed restaureret perfekt i gammel stil. "Marleen and Raf were the perfect hosts. Anything we needed, booking restaurants, advice on places to visit, they did all this graciously. The property was exceptionally clean, the pool was spacious with plenty of sun beds, umbrellas and a lovely shaded pagoda area with further seating. Within the property, the shower needs some attention, the jets don't work, the seals are coming off and the water is not draining properly. "As part of our motorbike tour we stayed at this property for 6 nights and weren't disappointed. The Gite was absolutely beautiful and well equipped. The downstairs area consisted of 2 settees where we could sit during the evening together. The English TV was useful to keep up with news at home. The kitchen had everything you could ever need and the outside bar- be- cue was just right. The weather wasn't as good as it should have been for August so we didn't get chance to use the outdoor seating...

"This is a lovely if basic hotel in a gorgeous location but it’s very remote and the little lane to get there is single track so perhaps not great in the dark. The food in the renowned restaurant is excellent with menus at €25, €35 and €45. However breakfast at €12 per person offers minimal choice and quantity and some may wish to decline it. Overall this is a brilliant establishment if you’re luck enough to get one of the small number of their rooms."
