"Some electric plug don't work in the room, the way they fix is to pur a electric extension, but if you want to use the lamp you have to unplug the tv When I arrive (In March), the heater was turn off, go back to front desk and refuse to change my room, tell me to turn on the heater and everything will be ok after 30 minutes... "There was no hot water in the room and the mattress was worn out and lacked support. I left with a back ache. When I brought the lack of hot water to their attention in the morning, I was told “yeah room # - doesn’t have hot water in the sink, you should have tried the shower.” There was no way I was going to shower with cold water. No price adjustment was made. The property has a beautiful view of the lake, and a quaint ambiance. I want to support local business, and I did not want to travel to a large chain hotel in Pembroke, even for a cheaper price. Overall, the Sands could use some improvements. For the $200 price, I was seriously disappointed. Make the trek to a better hotel for your money. It had recently snowed, and the walkway was not cleared at all. "

"Overall great place. One of the eyes on the stove wasnt workig. We contacted owner regarding bbq before attending to ensure we had means to bbq but when there found the gas was not working / empty and would have to fill up but since I was working was unable. We thought that should have been taken care of previously. Sauna and property is lovely. Pull out bed was not comfortable but room bed was. We were able to get reception on the amplifier but it was partially broken and had to be held in place nd not moe in order to get reception for cell phone service. Really wished the stove and bbq were in best order - we ended up fixing the stove. We forgot a whole pack of baby food in the storage in the kitchen but no one contacted us. Thats alright but, just saying. Beautiful property overall. "
