"My sister and I stayed at Whala Boca Chica from Dec 22 - 28 and we had the best time! Check in was simple and courteous. We arrived a couple hours early so we couldn't go to the room yet. They give you your wristbands and take your luggage to an office room that allows you to explore the resort until 3pm. Immediately we were greeted by bartenders ready to make us a drink to take to the beach. At 3, a helpful staff member showed us to our room and carried our luggage all the way there. We stayed in a double frontal sea view captain room and it was great. Very clean, cold AC and fridge, no issues. We had a balcony with a breathtaking view. Dining was good and the buffet had plenty of options at each meal. The snacks were so convenient for a late night bite. The beach was stunning. Lot of cabanas and places to sit. Once we reached the weekend, it became slightly crowded and the drinks were a little watered down, but it wasn't really a problem for us specifically. You can also order straight shots at the bar. Watet was available throughout the resort to stay hydrated. There were also fun activities and shows each day/night. Overall it was such a memorable experience and we'd love to return!"

"This was one of the best places I stayed in the Dominican Republic, I did not think it would be so nice, the staff are so polite and everyone is willing to help with whatever you need, from check in to check out, you can get food and alcohol no matter the time, the food is A++, and all you have to do is eat from the buffet, my only regret was not going to this place first, as I continue visiting DR and visiting different hotels, this one is one of the must always return to one. I will for sure be visiting this hotel every time I go to DR. The rooms are super nice, you can spend all day inside the hotel and you will have a great time, its great for couples, families, a group of friends or even a work retreat with what I witness, they can count on me staying there every single time I come back to DR. Oooh, and its in the middle of the capital, but once you get inside the hotel or feels like you are somewhere completely different. Dominican Fiesta is a top hotel, it wont the top spot on our list right now!!"

"Air conditioning was confusing and wasn’t sure if it was properly on. Should’ve asked front desk about this. However, I had to ask front desk about practically everything because there weren’t clear instructions or clear directions on how to use the amenities nor where they were. Taxis and Ubers were my biggest nightmare down there, however, it was handled and actually taking Uber was a very much cheaper than the taxis they provide there. If you’re not a local just come, prepare prepared and have an itinerary ready. Otherwise, be ready to ask for assistance for everything. Location was beautiful. No beach close in good distance. Not bad experience, if you’re just looking for a place to stay this is excellent. If you’re looking for a hub spot— I’d look elsewhere."
