"This was ideal for me. I loved it here. It was really peaceful. I couldn't hear a thing apart from the birds and the occasional sheep. I stayed for 4 days and I wished it could have been longer. There is no TV in the hut which also suits me to the ground. The wi-fi is excellent so if you do want to watch something on an I pad or tablet you will have no problem with the reception. The instructions to find the key were terrible! it says get them from a key safe padlocked to the front railings at the front of the house and they were at the back, attached to the house. "These apartments are brilliant if you are travelling with children, as we were. Lovely and spacious, with a dishwasher and coffee (ground) machine. Great oven and microwave, fridge freezer working well. Kitchen prep area was a good size, too. Bathroom was very clean and well finished, although the mirror wasn't lit. We couldn't get the living room TV to work, but we didn't contact the host, so this is not a complaint as I'm sure it would've been sorted. The TV in the bedroom was fine but we were unable to log out of someone else's Netflix. The balcony space and dining area were roomy enough for 5 of us. The communal areas look a bit scary and unkempt but inside the apartment is completely different. The lift is temperamental and didn't work on our last day. There is ample, unallocated parking. It could be signposted a bit better, but the directions in the email are good. There was a side view of the beach from our apartment, and some very loud seagulls! Also to note there is a children's play area outside with a squeaky swing - this may haunt your dreams if you've got the windows open! You may hear music from the square or nearby venues, but they all seemed to finish at a reasonable time. Overall a pleasant stay which suited our family well and was great value for money."

"What a fabulous hotel ! Very welcoming, beautifully kept , great decor .. amazing food , helpful & friendly staff. We were celebrating an anniversary & the hotel made our stay extra special. The cocktails, canopes evening meal & breakfast were all delicious & very high standard. The rooms were spacious smart & well equipped."

"A beautifully clean and welcoming hotel on the beach in Croyde. It’s safe, fantastic amenities and there is something for everyone. The staff are extremely polite, knowledgeable and friendly. It’s hard to find accommodation these days where there is nothing to fault - Outstanding! A perfect little get away."

"The whole place is spotless and really well run by kind and helpful staff who were very attentive the whole time. Being in an old building, the amenities were not the best, the room had a very sloped floor, which made me feel a little seasick! And the bed tilted because of this, I had to prop something under my mattress so that I didn’t roll out of bed in the night! I had a lovely bath but equally due to the slope it felt like the water would tip out if too full! My room was right next to the lift so I could hear that lots of times but it wasn’t too disturbing in the night with the sound of the fan which I switched on in the room. The dinner was absolutely delicious, I was really impressed, and 10% off for guests staying . Breakfast was not so good, the cooked breakfast was not very appealing (lumpy scrambled eggs, dry hard bacon) and the buffet breast options were very limited, but it didn’t dampen my stay too much. The staff were really so lovely. All in all, it is a lovely hotel and I’d probably return but might request a room that doesn’t slope/isn’t right next to the lift!!"
