This was our second stay at the Moorcock and we will definitely be back. The owners and staff are really friendly . The room was clean and had a great view out the front . We ate in the pub every night and the food was great . Had a lovely steak and chips and a good roast dinner . My partner had a burger one night and it was massive and tasty. All the food was piping hot. The views from the pub garden are wonderful . Don't hesitate to book at this property .
Had better stays. Very unorganised. Turned up for check in at 3:30pm (Check in time was after 2pm) and the place was deserted! I finally managed to get hold of Jo the manager after several attempts and she told me that nobody would be there until 4pm. All the while I could here voices in the back room. However, I had to wait until after 4pm to check in.
The food was okay. I have had far better, but the prices are acceptable.
Would recommend avoiding this place for an overnight stay as the price does not justify the service.
We had a lovely stay at the Moorcock. The views from our room were amazing. The room was comfortable and bright. We could have done with a bedside cabinet both sides of the double bed. The food in the pub was good and the beer garden out the front is lovely with nice views. The staff and locals and very friendly. We will be back.
