Unfortunately when booking this property through Expedia we were unaware that Expedia would be unable to assist if there was any issues. Which sadly there was due to poor management, poor housekeeping planning and poor communication. The property itself is lovely and as our final stay after a tour of Scotland ( all booked via Expedia) for our wedding anniversary. We were told the property would be ready to check in at 3.00pm which was great as we had a long drive after 3 weeks touring . We arrived at 4.00 pm , to find the property uncleaned, bins full, unchanged bed , dirty dishes, towels on the floor. We then contacted Expedia stated not us , contact another company we had been given a tel/Whatsapp number which we called . This went through to a call centre seemed to be in Asia who struggled with my Irish accent, so after multiple verification of who we were and the property details including various reference numbers linked to the reservation . We had also emailed the email address that had confirmed us staying . The email got a response apologies and they will clean the apartment soon within an hour. Meanwhile on the phone the lady in question ( this is after 1 hour on the phone) decided it should be escalated to another team . Remember we had driven all day and simply wanted a rest before getting groceries for the appartment and maybe an evening out. We then spent another hour with the new call member and the cleaners turned up. They were great.
