Nice place with a friendly atitude

I really liked it here even though i'm used to really nice hotells but Ben is so friendly and really makes you feel welcome and really gets out of his way to make your stay as good as possible. Ben and his brother Barry speaks good English and really enjoys meeting new people and hear about their lives and tell you about theirs. He also arranges trips to Ijen and some other places which is often the reason why you are in Banyuwangi. This is a homestay place and not an hotel so the standards is as people are used to in Indonesia but it works great if your looking for a genuine Indonesian experience and perhaps meet a friend or two. His wife makes very good breakfast as well.

Benny is EXTREMLY nice and helpful, accommodation is really basic. Had no toilet paper and no towel, but okay for 1 night.

良い点 ・家主が英語を話せる、気さくでいい人 ・少し歩くが、地元の商店や飲食店が近く、安い ・周囲に観光客はいないため、地元感を非常に感じられる 考慮すべき点 ・自然に囲まれているため、蚊などはいる ・トイレとシャワーは一つを何部屋で共有している ・冷房は、扇風機 good point · A master can speak English, a friendly and nice person · I walk complicated area, but local shops and restaurants are close and cheap · There are no tourists around, so you can feel local feeling very much Points to consider · Because it is surrounded by nature, there are mosquitoes etc. · The toilet and shower share one in several rooms · Air conditioning, Fan

親切なオーナー家族

場所は正直わかりづらく、地元のバイクタクシーの人も見つけるのに苦労していました。 ローカル感はあってよかったのですが、近くに食事できるところも少なかったので苦労しました。 空港、バスターミナルへの移動やツアーは宿までピックアップしてくれるので問題なかったです。 立地以外は価格の割に好印象です。 部屋は清潔で、困ったことがあってもオーナー家族が親身に助けてくれました。 朝食は現地の家庭料理のような感じでおいしかったです。 Wi-Fiも強かったです。

Poor quality rooms, many ants, insects, got tonnes of mosquito bites as there's no nets, poor sealing, and no air conditioning thus needing to sleep without blankets. Location is nowhere near anything. Owner is extremely nice and offers to drive you places on his scooter, but this is very inconvenient as you have to wait while he does the same for all the guests.

Beny is a great host. He knows the area well and help you organize anything you need. 20 minuet walk to beach. Hour from Ijen crater. Wall fan. No hot water. Breakfast superb

Confort sommaire si ce n'est inexistant

Vous dormirez sur une planche en bois en guise de lit et vous entendrez grouiller les cafards toutes la nuit dans la cuisine. Si toutefois malgré tout vous y allez, n'hésitez pas à passer dans la cuisine la nuit et à allumer la lumière, vous en verrez des dizaines déguerpirent... Je vous laisserai découvrir les charmes de la salle d'eau... Je suis habitué à voyager dans des conditions précaires, mais là c'était quand même un peu trop. Ceci dit notre hôte était adorable...

Friendly hosts and low maintenance homestay

We enjoyed our stay at Osingvacation! The owner and his family were very warm and welcoming and made us feel at home. The property is ideal for travelers looking for a low key place to stay that is close to the town center and a motorbike ride away from Ijen Crater. Would recommend to other travelers on their way through Java!

Beny is awesome!

The owner, Beny, is awesome! He was very kind and super helpful. Although we only stayed for one night at osingvacation, Beny was sure to help us organize an affordable trip to Ijen Crater. He also brought us to a restaurant even though he had already eaten and then showed us to a grocery store to get snacks. He even offered to drive us to get bananas at a nearby market. In terms of accommodations, this is a traditional Indonesian house (with squat toilet). It was quite clean however there were geckos in the house to allow for them to eat the bugs. For that reason, I would say that if you are squeamish around bugs or lizards this place is not for you. For us, it was just fine.
