Great Location with Clean, Simple Rooms
Hotel staff was very helpful in calling taxis and arranging transportation to the airport upon checkout. The room was clean with two free water bottles daily. They provided delicious pineapple cookies in the lobby that were a nice, yummy snack on the way in or out. Great location to local shopping, 7-Eleven, Khao San Road and a few Wat temples. It’s not a fancy place, but tidy, clean and in a good location.

Not the best location for getting Tuk Tuks but a 20 minute walk from Kohsan Road. Great place to stay for a few days of sight seeing in Bangkok. There is a free breakfast provided, but we missed it as we had trips booked. Good value for money with the price.

For the price this hotel is fantastic. Don’t be put off that it is close to road as you can’t hear traffic noise. Within walking distance of Khao SAN Road. Lots of shops, places to eat and 7 Eleven all close by. Safe in Room. Good Air Conditioning. Free Breakfast of toast, tea, coffee, juice or water. Large room.

Enjoyed every day
It was very quiet in the room, despite the hotel is locate in a busy road. The service was good and unobtrusive. The hotel has a great lobby and free coffee stand in it. The location is very advantageous.

Gorgeous Hotel
Stunning and well maintained Hotel. The Housekeeping was great and my sheets were changed daily and the fridge topped up with water so I could take a few bottles out with me every day whilst sightseeing. Every night I returned the Night Security guard came out to greet me with a lovely smile and greeting so I always felt very safe and comfortable. Plenty of Tea and coffee with complementary biscuits in the lobby area; personally I would have preferred the facilities in my own room, but thats just me. It was actually no bother and the area was kept scrupulously clean. The Wifi was a bit finicky - not easy log in details and I had to ask for another as my initial one wasnt working - it took 5 attempts to find me one that worked! These details also had to be re-input on each floor and every time you logged on when you returned to the Hotel, but to be fair it was a strong, fast connection. The only bad thing about this hotel is its location. It is not near anything and you really have to work to get a taxi driver to take you there, as many said it was too far out or quoted a ridiculous price. Of course this is not the hotels fault (Its a Thai Taxi thing) but worth knowing, as it often took me up to 40 mins to get a Taxi to take me who would put the meter on. I travelled as far as I could on the Metro to the train station in Chinatown and hailing one from there as that seemed to work better and a return was around 70-80 Thai Baht in around 15 minutes.

Lovely hotel, close enough to walk to koh San Road, Yet far away enough that you have a quite night. Staff really helpful, rang our taxi to pick us up for the airport upon leaving. Free maps available and tea and coffee available 24/7 in reception.

Overall a nice hotel ....offers free tea and coffee everyday with biscuits and toast in the morning! 5 min walk from the main road and a lovely security guard! The staff are helpful and they store your bags for the day if you have already checked out! Rooms were okay - fridge with free water and good air con! WiFi was not great in the rooms however and the bathroom could do with a good scrub. The view was also not fantastic! Good to stay for a short period - I’ve stayed in worse in Bangkok

Bad bad bad!
If you’re looking for somewhere just to close your eyes and run after without looking around or using the facilities, please be a guest. The place is filthy! My wife and I usually aren’t picky when it comes to accommodations from 5 star hotels to “3 so called star” hotels in Bangkok. We know where we’re coming and wasn’t expecting so much for the price, but at least somewhere clean would be nice. Just pure filth! The pictures will speak for themselves.

great location, great staff - A OK for me
Great location. I walk when I travel and this was great. Not the 4 Seasons, yet no surprises at this property. Fabulous staff. I needed 2 more days in Bangkok and I booked here again. Needless to say I liked my stay here. Someone said in a previous review that there was a rooster waking her up. The rooster is still here, )))) this is Bangkok, not Manhattan. Now if I were here for business I might look else where. No matter I liked my stay.

wouldn't stay here again
The rooms (we visited 2 rooms in total) where falling apart the walls where dirty and fittings in the bathroom had mould along the seams, the tiles had black all around lots of tiles.. go to Khaosan road instead.. much more happening in that area and a lot more choice plus Lots of places to eat.

Terrible. First room we were given had mould covering the wall next to the bed. So we asked to be moved to another room. This room also had a musty smell, the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. The toilet broke on our last night. Room was tiny. The staff were extremely rude and would not acknowledge us when we left or arrived at the hotel - the only exception was the young man with the braces who worked in the evening he was friendly and helpful. Hotel was in a very rough area. Deceptive photos - look elsewhere.

Very welcoming staff. Bed comfortable and access to coffee in the lobby all day. Bottled water replaced daily. Room spotless but grout in shower could have been cleaner. Not much in immediate vicinity but only 15 minute walk to Khaosan road.

Swana Bangkok Hotel
This hotel is in a decent location for seeing the famous Wats and the Grand Palace. It is walkable to Ko San Road and several other items on that side of Bangkok. The room was a decent size, and the bed comfortable, but the bathroom was not very clean. Hotel staff was polite. Free/reliable WIFI. Free coffee and tea in the lobby. NO Durian allowed in the hotel.

Nice hotel close to Khoasan
This is a good hotel if you are on a budget and a single traveler who doesn't want to stay in a hostel .........the rooms are clean and have a fridge which is regularly topped up with water, air on and toiletries. Only 5 floors so not too much walking. Location is good there are nearby shops and if you don't mind walking it's 15 minutes to Khosaen Rd and 10 to Rama VIII bridge Only downside is no BTS close by but it's so easy to get taxi meter which are very cheap . Beware the tuck tiks though as they will try and con you .

Don't waste vacation time in Bangkok
Not a lot to do in Bangkok if you're not into night clubs or temples. Swana Hotel rooms are small and layout of the hotel in general is poor. Service at the hotel is mediocre and they made us feel more like an intruder than a guest. Typical Bangkok for cleanliness. Not great. Shower drain was plugged in first room they put us in on third floor. Room on second floor shower drain was a bit better but still slow and the safe didn't work so they had to come and fix it which they did. We were grateful to leave Bangkok...

This is a great place. For Bangkok you cant beat this price. The rooms aren't very big but everything is perfect as far as arrangement and it doesn't feel small.

This was our last stop in a month long trip through Vietnam and Cambodia. We stay in many hotels, some nicer than others and I can honestly say the staff at this hotel are the rudest. This was by far the worst customer service experience of my life. This hotel has no elevators which we found out upon arrival which explains the snarky remarks the front staff clerk when I answered his question about how much luggage we had. I'm not sure what he was complaining about since all he did was bring the smallest bag up and offered to keep the rest of our luggage at the front desk in order to avoid carrying it up the stairs. In the morning when we woke up there was a flood in our bathroom. The caulking on the toilet and hose was wearing off so we switched rooms. We ended up having to extend our stay in Bangkok and decided to stay at the hotel because we didn't want to have to pack up all our stuff again. When we advised the front desk that we were extending our stay we were surprised to learned that because it was a separate booking we actually had to check out of the empty room and check back into a different room. We later learned the room we checked out of was empty. The front desk didn't even bother to check if the room would be available for us to stay. They made us check out and check back in likely because it was too much of a hassle for them. Breakfast consists of toast with jam, instant coffee and black tea.

New hotel close to Koh San Road
Stayed here 2 nights during Songkran and found the hotel well located within 5 minute tuk tuk to Koh San Road. Room was clean and modern and fairly new the staff friendly and helpful but no lift had to walk up stairs 4 floors. The direct neighbourhood hasn't got anything going on but you can tuk tuk to the action quick enough.
