Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
The staff was very nice and helpful. If I were rating based on solely them, I would give them 5 stars. They set up our extra bed, helped us bring our bags up, and made sure we did not leave anything behind after our stay. Other things enjoyable about the property was the shower water pressure and water temperature.
The property was maybe just not something we are used to. This was our first hostel to save money, so we don’t know if this is how it usually is. The 4th floor was very hot, even with the AC on the coldest setting. The washing machine made our clothes smell bad and the furthest right drier did not work, it would stop every 10 minutes and you had to manually start it again or else it just wastes your 50 minutes (you have to put in 50 baht in the beginning, different from the other machines that have a minimum of 10 baht for 10 minutes. I think there should have been some sort of warning on the drier instead of us having to find out the hard way.) The toilet was very close to the wall, our knees were touching the walls while the ants crawled up and down. The couch had mold on it and so did the bathroom. WiFi does not reach the 4th floor, but when it does, it is very slow. We came back to the hostel one night and there were people fighting in the street.
Before booking, I didn’t know it was a weed-friendly neighborhood. If I had known, I probably would not have stayed here with children. It did not affect them in any way though since we were out most of the day.
