We were stayed 4 night at Baan BANGKOK Chinatown .Very clean room- staff very helpful. We love to walk around neighborhoods and we found very cute street hidden art museum and cute cafe around this street is name Nana. Walked distance to Hualumphong station and we reach to shopping street only 10 min by walk. Great local street food. Definitely we will return- love the vibe of Baanbangkok Chinatown.

Cute little hostel with 5 min walk to China town, Yaowarat Road. Check in was easy and my room was spacious. Bathroom sink was a bit broken, but it was all clean!

Check in is fully automated and smooth, though you will not see anyone or be able to ask questions except via text. The second set of stairs are very steep...super tricky with luggage and would be impossible for anyone with mobility issues. We had a double with private bath. It was very small. The worst was the mattress- it was plastic! Without any mattress pad, just a thin sheet. We had to put one of the blankets down between the mattress and sheet so we wouldn’t sweat. AC worked well, no musty odor. Appreciated the free instant coffee or tea in the lobby. Location was interesting, down a very local alleyway and felt safe. It is a 12 minute walk to the center of Chinatown with its incredible street food.

Good Location but Greedy Owner

I’d rate this place 0 if not for the manager who helped us with laundry and did their best to make our stay go well. Location and cleanliness is also good. Because of the owner though, we will NEVER go back. We arrived early and asked if the hotel would hold our bags until check-in. The manager said a room was open and let us in early. As we were settling in, they came back and apologized because the owner (who was in the lobby when we arrived) required we pay more if we wanted the room early. Since we didn’t need the room, we repacked our bags and hauled them downstairs. The next morning at breakfast the owner took photos of us while eating. I guess the hotel doesn’t receive many Caucasian guests. Even so, she didn’t ask our permission for the photos, instead just saying ‘Sorry’ while snapping away. Lastly, after check-out, we noticed we accidentally left a bag in the lobby. Messaging the owner on Line, we told her we’d back in town a few days later and could pick it up then. She never responded, even though she was quick to answer our questions on Line within 24hrs when it regarded booking a room. Upon our return to the hotel to get our bag, the manager said it was being “borrowed” and tried to make things better by giving us a crappy replacement instead. Later that day the owner finally responded on Line requesting we email instead, which we did. She never replied to our email trying to schedule another pickup, we still don’t have our bag and can only assume she stole it.

All staff were very welcoming and helpful. The whole place was very clean with excellent facilities. Lots of information at reception of where to go, local events etc. Big map on the wall to help none-locals find best places to eat/visit/use public transport. Room was unique and cool, with chilled out area terrace and sundesk Showers, toilets cleaned daily - supplied shampoo and shower gel. Complimentary coffee Would definitely recommend this to anyone travelling. It was our first location and couldn't have expected better.
