Great location to Bangkok Hospital

This was a great hospital located walking distance to Bangkok hospital. We had an appointment there and the convenience was perfect. Enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel at a super price.

Very friendly. Very comfortable & spacious--very good deal for the price in central Bangkok. A bit hard to get to & from the BTS (Subway), but ideally suited if you will be visiting Bangkok Hospital (it is a 3 minute walk, or you can take the free shuttle the hotel provides). I will be going back the next time I visit Bangkok! They only offered breakfast, but there were plenty of restaurants by the hospital so that was on big deal. The 'fridge and sink and dishes were all very useful for my 3 day stay. Next time I visit Bangkok I will spend more time there rather than other more expensive hotels (of the same quality). It did not have a stove though.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. However when we checked in we were not given a swipe card to gain access to the building and when we came back from our dinner outing we had to wait around for someone to let us in. The next morning we asked at the reception and they gave us a swipe card. (I'm not sure why we weren't given this upon checking in) Apart from that, we thought the hotel itself was great but the location was a bit out of the way and right next door to the hospital. There area was very peaceful and quiet at night but there are not really many dinner options close by for anyone checking in late or not wanting to go far for a meal.

Great Staff

When I originally checked in there was an issue with my room. The description on the website stated that there was a bathtub in the room - something I was looking forward to, however, it turned out that was falsely advertised. Once I raised this to the staff they couldn't be more helpful in resolving the issue and upgraded me to a family room (With a bathtub). Many thanks to the staff, especially Nok for their help.

Very clean and nice place. The staff were super friendly, brand us water quickly when requested and were helpful all around. The location might be a bit off the typical beaten path, but we wanted a nice place to settle into when we arrived after 20 hrs of travel. We were not disappointed. No complaints at all.

Disappointing

The room, itself, is satisfactory, however, there are aspects of what a hotel should be that Alix Hotel is simply NOT. Firstly, during check in, we weren't notified of any of the hotel's services (where breakfast is, where the fitness room is). And unlike most hotels, this information is not self explanatory. Additionally, there must have been a system error while we were in the room, because another guest was given the key to our room and entered our room while we were there at about 10pm. When I asked the front desk about the problem, they said room service was there to fix the television. However, it was clear that the "intruder" was another confused guest. To make matters worse, the shower was disappointing due to the fact that the water would either be extremely hot or extremely cold, and there absolutely no in between temperature. All of this made staying at Alix Hotel, one of the most uncomfortable hotel experiences I've ever had.
