This makes it ideal for exploring the local markets, temples, and the river without the intense heat or heavy rainfall that characterise other times of the year. It's a comfortable period for sightseeing and outdoor activities. The shoulder seasons, March to May (hot season) and September to October (rainy season), can also be considered for those seeking fewer crowds or potentially better value on accommodation. However, be prepared for higher temperatures in the hot season, often exceeding 35°C, or more frequent rain showers during the rainy season, which can sometimes be heavy.
