"We booked this hotel under the pretense that the resturant was open for business and the taxi price rate was similar to the rest of Ecuador or the reviews in our travel book. Hotel served a nice breakfast BUT no other food is available so one must go into Puerto Ayora for lunch and dinner. The taxi rate to and from hotel into town can be anywhere from $10-$15 each way..... if u want to freshen up after a long tour that will be 4 taxi rides......$40-$60 per day. "The room had not been cleaned very well, as there were sweet wrappers on the floor by the side of the bed. The towels appeared to have been washed but smelt VERY bad, as if they had been put away while still very damp. We saw no hot water come out of the taps for the first 24 hours of our stay, despite trying periodically. We eventually had a brief bit of hot water but it only lasted long enough for my wife to have a shower. Mine was cold. And worst of all, they were over booked for our second...
