Traditional Irish Stone Barn Cottage in Beautiful and Tranquil Countryside

10/10 Excellent
" Absolute Perfection! Our stay at this beautiful cottage was flawless from start to finish. The property itself is absolutely stunning, cozy, and immaculate. What truly made our trip unforgettable was our host, David. He was incredibly gracious, friendly, and accommodating throughout our entire stay.A special highlight was his dogs, Tate and Jake! They were the absolute best welcoming committee each day, and the kids completely loved them. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be back!"

It's a rural setting, so expect a relaxed pace of life with views of green fields and rolling hills. For those planning to explore the wider region, staying in or near the village centre is ideal. May and June offer lovely green landscapes and generally less rain, making it ideal for outdoor activities like walking or visiting local historical sites. The longer daylight hours also mean more time to sightsee.July and August are the warmest months, great for enjoying the local villages and perhaps a day trip to the coast. While these months can be busier with other visitors, Ballyhea itself remains a peaceful spot. You'll find local events and festivals often take place during this peak season.September brings cooler, crisp air and often beautiful autumn colours, particularly appealing for those who enjoy photography or a more relaxed pace.
