"Great location for exploring Pitlochry. Stayed in a Superior Double Room with Scenic View. Our room was a ground floor, which was really close to the swimming pool, so great for going to pool in swimming costume and a towel without needing to change. Lovely spacious large room with a comfy bed. The hotel is a little run down but that is also reflected in the price, so overall I was happy with what we paid and got. Light in bathroom out but told reception and fixed quickly. Radiator towel didn't work in bathroom and wasn't able to be fixed during stay. The heating only comes on late a night so room cold when get back from excursions but then really hot in the evening (old style cast iron big radiators), we turned them both off, as in bed with a thick duvet gets a bit much, the radiators stay lukewarm even when off, which was good for drying swimming costumes. They have the new infrared sauna which was lovely and the pool is huge and the jacuzzi was good too so well worth going for a swim. Ate at the restaurant first night, food was good but drink service was poor, took 20 mins for drinks to arrive. Ate at the bar the second night again food was good and buy own drink at bar. Ate out other two nights as so close, would recommend The Bridge Restaurant, 5-7 mins walk from hotel. Use the steps to the right as you leave the hotel, much shorter than the way you drive in."

"Stayed for one night. The room was very cosy and warm and clean extra pillows very nice shower also had dinner food was outstanding staff were very helpful and attentive to any request we had amazing big playground for kids spotless to pool gym. I couldn't fault this hotel staff will go above and beyond to make sure ur needs are met. Very very nice hotel they have everything u need overall it was the staff they were fantastic, very warming and polite family friendly pets to amazing place.also little arcades for the kids and bigger kids lol."
Macdonald Aviemore Hotel

"Room was spacious and bed super comfy, bathroom was a bit dated but the shower was decent and the elemis shampoo/shower gel smelt amazing! Pool was a good size! Sauna was nice and hot, beware of the steam room it was burning!! It has a spa pool and not a jacuzzi so don't expect bubbles!! Electric chargers weren't working at our hotel but we managed to use the chargers behind the other hotel Overall a good stay and good location for town centre"
Pine Trees Hotel

"Pine Trees was up on a hill in a lovely location not too far a walk into the main town. The staff were welcoming upon arrival and our room was comfortable and clean. The hotel was beautiful and the breakfast was very good despite having to wait a bit due to how busy it was. It was a really nice spot I would recommend."

"Great location helpful and friendly staff! We stayed for two nights ate dinner there one night and food was very good. Only 7 miles from Balmoral Castle also walking distance to coffee and nice local stores."
