I loved everything about this hotel apart from the plumbing emanating from room next door - a wee bit noisy but would guess it may only affect a few rooms Also the air con did not switch in to heat mode - again badly needed the night I stayed However. overall a lovely central hotel with caring homely touches

First time at Oscars but not the last. Centrally located, lovely heritage vibe, friendly/welcoming staff, very comfortable room and easy parking. The only issue is that if you're in a room on the road side, you can hear the trucks driving down the main road. Loud!

What a great historical hotel in the heart of Ballarat. The room was up to date and the staff was helpful with our luggage. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious and the service excellent. There was no problem with parking on site, especially upon our late night return from the Sovereign Hill Aura event.

Such an amazing classic country town hotel with beautiful decor, high ceilings and conveniently close to everything. The food in the restaurant on site is top class and very good value! Will stay again!!

Love Oscars. Staff very attentive, friendly and helpful. Rooms always spotless and comfortable. Dined in and the food was high quality and service once again very good. Always the place to stay when I’m in Ballarat
