We enjoyed our one night stay, finding the staff welcoming and helpful.
The area was quiet, and not far from the city centre.
The property looked to have changed hands recently, as facilities were being upgraded.
Very clean and well presented place. Huge king size bed and super comfortable. Complimentary water was also great. Air con was fantastic to walk into. Located centrally to everything you need. Very short drive to restaurants and sovereign Hill. Across the road there's a outdoor pool and playground. Very child friendly.
Located not too far from the main city area. Quite and peaceful place. Bed was very comfortable and the unit was very well presented. Check in was very easy and the host very nice. The best part the heater was on so it was very warm in the room.
Arrived late and the key was in an unsecured box, would have preferred a coded key lockbox but as this is the only complaint I have I think it is fairly mild. The place was clean, tidy and very comfortable. Fantastic place to sleep in Ballarat.
Was there for work, no issues, clean stay, easy access

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
We had a short stop over night before leaving very early the next day (5:30am). It was clean and comfortable however the shower dripped constantly and this kept me awake. I ended up putting face washers in the base of the shower to deaden the noise. It was a very quiet neighbourhood and the Indian restaurant right next door was delicious.
Overnight return trip to Ballarat & The Miner's Retreat Hotel was very comfortable with great service as always. Many thanks

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
People from The room next to us were very loud and disturbed our sleep. It would be good if you can walls with noise cancellation or something to ensure noise travelling is minimum as the rooms are together
Would be nice if you had a smart tv and a lock on the inside of the door so the kids can’t just walk out. The place was very clean and the staff were very helpful and nice and we really enjoy our stay.
The location was idea for us. The only problem we had was a lack of hot water.

Disliked: Cleanliness
There was nothing I liked about the property. It was dated and run down. The cleanliness of our cabin was disgusting. Floor was filthy and sticky. The mattresses were old and yellow and super hard. There was seven of us staying at a cost of $225 and only one bed was made which had a sheet, a doona without a cover and another sheet placed over the top. The rest we had to make ourselves. I couldn't get comfortable cause I continually felt like I was going to catch something from being there. Then there was a drunk guy a few doors up who was screaming out for over an hour before the management dealt with it, meanwhile our children were quite scared with the situation. 100% dissatisfied.
