"Stayed only one night and is 4 minute drive to downtown. The rooms were very clean and well equipped with fridge, microwave and stove. Bathroom was spacious with robes and slippers. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were all very friendly and gave us extra scones to take with us! "

"Older motel but kept up quite well. Liked the room layout with the bi-level. Pre-ordered breakfast was ok for lighter fare. Fairly quiet but easy to get to location. Great steak and rib restaurant right across the street."

"Absolutely! Beautiful! Property! On The Ocean! Our family had a great! Time! We Loved The twinkle lights! At Night! The fire pit! On The Beach! Gathering Seashells! The Kayaks! Were Awesome! Our Dogs! Loved The Cottage! Grounds! The Ocean Views! Were Awesome! We all had a great time!"

"We spent a lovely week at Big Sky Sea Shanty. The host is very helpful and checked in regularly and had great suggestions for day trips in the area. The property is beautiful , it is very well maintained and the views are spectacular. The listing is very accurate. It's a very relaxing environment and there's plenty of things to do nearby and a lovely hot tub. It is pet friendly. I highly recommend this property."

"Our hosts (including their two dogs Milo and Enzo) were friendly and welcoming throughout our entire two week stay. They offered suggestions on places to go and things to do, which we found very helpful. Their advice on availability of fresh seafood, and tremendous help in obtaining and preparing fresh lobster, made a real difference to our trip.The highlight for us was the location, which was right at the shore, allowing us to enjoy uninterrupted ocean views, and listen to the waves. Beautiful, no matter what the weather.It is very obvious the owners take great pride in what they have created here, and rightly so. Their tremendous landscaping efforts are clearly a labour of love.We had never been to Nova Scotia, and certainly will be returning."
