"The room had a single wardrobe that was totally inadequate for our 5 night stay. The staff were very helpfull. The outdoor pool was very nice. The breakfast was very good but the management of the restaurant during breakfast is poor for a 5 star hotel."

"I expected old and mismatched furniture so not a problem. However, positioning of the tv was ridiculous as there was no way to actually watch the tv while sitting/lying! Another silly thing was the full sized kettle wouldn’t fit under the tap to fill. Had to use the cup to transfer water into the kettle. Charging parking as extra seems churlish."

"The staff are always very pleasant and helpful, and check-in is smooth and friendly every time. Unfortunately, I’ve been disappointed with housekeeping on my last few stays. I’ve left the “Clean My Room” tag on the door when leaving in the morning, but returned to find the tag still there and the room untouched. I have mentioned this previously at reception, but sadly it doesn’t seem to have improved. Apart from this issue, I absolutely love staying here."

"Good located hotel. While no frills, rooms are of a very high standard. Comfortable. Cool / warm. Well made luxury bathroom. Compact but high quality. Convenient for public transport / walking. All major city centre attractions within walking distance. Tram Stop just outside hotel with 2 to choose from. Direct connection to Sheffield station direct onto platform footbridge"
