Top Bakewell Hotel Reviews

Shrigley Hall Hotel and Spa
2/10 Terrible
"Unfortunately this hotel was not what the photos highlighted. I appreciate it is an old building but it was very worn. The reception area was cold and the man on reception was only concerned about the wedding guest that were staying. Not helpful at all. Food was overpriced in the bar area. Cold dark and dingy is the only way to describe this place."

Buxton Crescent
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely room"

Ringwood Hall Hotel & Spa, BW Signature Collection
10/10 Excellent
"Staff were all lovely and really helpful"

ibis budget Sheffield Arena
10/10 Excellent
"Basic room but ideal for one night. Very close to the arena. Would forego the breakfast as I don’t think it’s is worth £8.95 at all, some bread, muffins croissants cereal cheese ham cucumber and pepperoni. Save yourself the money and go to the nearby food places which are a 2 min walk away. Otherwise, clean and friendly staff."

Sandman Signature Sheffield Quays Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Room is clean and modern. Staff were brilliant. Breakfast is good standard, room for improvement. Pool was below standard and a few gym goers were wearing sandles in the pool. Water is not clean and murky. "

Leonardo Hotel Derby
8/10 Good
"Had an evening meal very enjoyable Raphael who served us gave us excellent service "

The Devonshire Arms Baslow
6/10 Okay
"The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was good. We stayed in the family room and it was absolutely fine for what we needed but a bit rough around the edges - the bunk beds were good for the kids and there were two bathrooms which was a bonus. Some books and games in there which was a nice touch. Had a kettle and drink station and a tv in each room (although we didn’t seem to be able to use both at the same time for some reason).
The downside was that the room was above the kitchen and extremely noisy in the evening before 9:30pm, as would be expected with people working there (the music got pretty unbearable at times unfortunately) so be aware if you have young kids with an earlier bedtime. Floorboards also pretty noisy, so if you have sensitive sleepers, maybe not ideal. Otherwise, it did the job and past 9:30pm it was fairly quiet and comfortable. "

Old Hall Hotel
4/10 Poor
"Although the hotel is a unique property, very old and quirky and in a great spot in the town which was good, it is very tired. The room we stayed in whilst clean needed complete redecoration and the furniture needs to be replaced and the same applies to the hallways and corridors."

ibis Budget Sheffield Centre St Marys Gate
4/10 Poor
"Rooms are not particularly pleasant. Not a cleanliness issue but they look quite worn down. The brown stool in the corner of the room looks out of place. Space isn't great.
Staff and the equipment at reception is a real issue. The laptop/computer used on thr day of my checkin was clearly quite slow and unable to process information quickly. I didn't feel the staff member on duty had control of the situation and was flustered quite easily, muttering away. I'm sure it wasn't an easy situation but it didn't come across as very professional to me.
Distance to the city centre is a relatively short walk so it has that going for it.
Generally from payment, room and staff perspective, there are better options in Sheffield. "
