Welcoming & comfortable.
We would visit again if in the area.
Advice: Since the property is accessed by country lanes we suggest planning your travel during daylight hours.
Gratton Grange is a lovely farmhouse b&b with attractive and comfortable rooms, relatively remote in itself, but actually close to the heart of the Peak District.
We did, however, visit on the coldest weekend of the year and with overnight snowfall, our stay turned into quite an adventure!
Fortunately, we had indulged in the superb breakfast before tacking the icy lane on our route out. At one point we weren't sure we were going to succeed, but our hosts came to the rescue, along with our fellow guests, so we have great memories of that support and would love to visit again...in better weather!
Thanks to all for an unforgettable stay.
It is so peaceful and close to natural. We have the suits which is the whole floor with separate living room. There are microwave and toaster in the living room. There are not much food options around, need to drive to the village nearby with single line country road. I would recommend you have food before arrive or bring food home.
Breakfast is very good. You can cook boiled egg fresh to your taste, smoke salmon, cream cheese and delicious yogurt. Only instant coffee provided, but good tea selection.
Check the hot water as we run out of hot water in the evening.
Lovely place to stay in the middle of the beautiful Peak District countryside.
Lovely accommodation managed by just a lovely people. Amazing value for money.
Amazing B&B thats tucked away like a hidden gem! We stayed in the classic double and it was absolutely lovely and cosy with lots of extras that really made our stay extra special. The hosts are lovely and friendly too and nothing is too much trouble for them xx
Lovely accommodation and wonderful location. Service and cleanliness were great. Shame we weren't staying longer, but we'll be back to stay if we're in the area again! Thank you.
Wonderful place very quiet .room is cozy and clean . This is a working farm and a great experience . Breakfast was lovely fresh eggs . Will be going back as it is a great place to stay
Wonderful peaceful stay at Gratton Grange. The standard double room we stayed in was spacious, clean and comfortable with our own private bathroom down the hall. The countryside views were lovely :) the hosts were friendly and made us feel welcome. The chickens running around in the courtyard were very entertaining!
Lovely room in a very rural and beautiful part of the world. Room was very nice and comfortable with the need to duck a bit for the odd beam (lovely old property) but a very nice stay!
Help yourself continental breakfast downstairs but loads of choice!
Rooms were big with modern and stylish decor. We loved the green field view from the window with the farm animals walking about - it felt very tranquil.
Massive choice of fresh continental breakfast and the owners couldn't be nicer - they even gave us a lift to the bus stop! I'd definitely recommend the place for a recharging holiday.
We had such a relaxed and peaceful couple of days away at Gratton Grange Farm B&B. Our room was really quiet with beautiful views. The fridge in our living room was really well stocked and the continental breakfast was plentiful so we didn’t go hungry ever! The hosts were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend :)
James and Vicky were their if needed otherwise we were just left to enjoy our time. Breakfast was continental with a large choice.
Would definitely recommend this as in a beautiful location
Not the best journey down narrow tracks to get there but well worth it. Good selection for do it yourself breakfast. Amazing views would make an excellent walking base.
Peace and quiet in an old farmhouse run by lovely people, exactly what we wanted, it was a joy to be there in the beautiful Derbyshire Dales. Thank you .
Wonderful Stay. Host very friendly.
Breakfast generous. Loved the Bagel with Cream cheese and smoked Salmon and freshly baked croissants but can we have facility to brew real coffee rather then instant. 🙏
Bedroom nicely done. Very comfy bed.
Love to return. 😀
Beautiful location. We booked the standard room and didn’t like that the bathroom was seperate to our room and felt this should have been made clear. Aside from that, the location is quiet and stunning and is a comfortable stay. Would stay again but would pick a room that had an en suite
The property and surroundings were stunning. It was lovely to be among the farm animals and to be able to pet them. The accommodation itself was amazing there was everything we needed and more. The young family that run the b&b and the farm were very friendly and welcoming it felt like we had known them for a long time they couldn’t have been any better. At breakfast we were spoilt for choice there is something for everyone including fresh pastries that are still warm. I would highly recommend a stay here we had a fantastic weekend.
Fantastic.
Gatton Grange is in a beautiful location. The room was lovely with great views, the bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast was amazing a great variety of cereals, fruit tea cakes, crumpets, toast, eggs, baked beans, a number of spreads and toppings, fresh and tinned tomatoes and yogurts.
I had bagels, creamed cheese and smoked salmon.
Plenty of local walks/hikes.
If you like rural and a home from home, this is the place to stay
Thank you very much for having us at your property. The view from the window was astonishing. We felt very welcome and the conditions of the place were very clean and well maintained. I would recomemd my friends the farm to stay. We loved the rooster wake up in the morning. Thank you once again
We had a lovely stay in this wonderful old farm cottage with fabulous views! The king suite is the whole second floor with a separate sitting/dining area, which we weren't expecting. It was clean and comfortable and although a cooked breakfast wasnt on offer the continental breakfast available was plentiful with lots of choice. We only met the hosts on arrival and were then left to our own devices. A very laid back and enjoyable stay.
