Luxurious Mountain Cabin Unit 4

Welcome to our pods...cabins or tiny homes as many refer to them! Located way back in the highest part of Western North Carolina in a place known for its historical significance as a place people could be alone and unbothered by outsiders, and in many cases the law! Moonshine was often the product coming out of the remoter hollers and in some cases frequented by outlaws and gunslingers. Our property was frequented by the Whitson brothers as recorded in the historical book "Red Hill" which recounts their exploits as Moonshiners and gun slingers. Walk the creeks or our property, and you may find artifacts that occasionally surface.

Mitchell County is known for much more than just Moonshine. It is also known for its Gem mines and the artist community that thrives here. Follow the Toe River Arts Council on Facebook for events such as the Toe River Studio Tour, the Mountain Blacksmithing Festival, the Burnsville Spring Arts Festival or many more.

Hikers find an abundance to trails, ranging from the world famous Appalachian Trail, located less than 15 minutes away, to the various trails being carved out and built right on our property. For those who like mountain runs, some of the toughest runs this side of the Rockies are found on any given weekend within an hour of our retreat. River sports and rock climbing can be found right next door to our property at North Carolina Outdoor Adventures.

Once you arrive back at our pods, you can build a fire in your own personal fire pit, or relax in your own private hot tub!
