Good location, close to town. Stayed there when I evacuated from the fires. Staff was very nice

upon arriving at the property I was told that they didn't have any rooms available despite wotif confirming my booking earlier that day. The person at reception was apologetic and help me find a more expensive alternative but it was disappointing none the less. It was not clear whether the hotel or wotif were responsible.

Why have a toaster? No knife or plate. Everything about this room Was depressing. The lights were terrible. Especially in the bathroom "cubicle"

Our room was very outdated compared to others ive stayed in. Our bathroom sink was disgusting. The room smelt odd to start with and there is minimal air flow. Two tiny windows. Bed was very wobbly and way to soft. I put a review on when we arrived. The owner then decided to come and speak to me about it. She knocked and just barged in she was the most rudest person ever! Defiantly not how you run a business. I told her it was my opinion because I’ve stayed at other places around Bairnsdale and this was in comparison. She was loud mouthed and didn’t like anything I had to say. So rude!! Never will be staying there again.

For a budget motel. This one is wonderful. Was warmly welcomed and nothing was to much trouble. Would definitely visit again.

Nice people very friendly. Room small but clean sheets, pillows and net curtains looked new. A bit of a smell in the corner!! Small bathroom but clean.. The air conditioner heating is high for a short person to turn on.

When we booked they advertised they had a microwave but there was no microwave. Also the heating was too old and sounded like a jet engine and was inefficient so it was not comfortable.

Ideal for overnight travel.

The motel, although being old, was clean, comfortable and convenient for an overnight stay when travelling. It was true to its name- ‘Travellers Rest’ Recommend Rustic Ranch Eats, the restaurant next door to the motel.

Not suitable for our needs.

Distinct lack of drawers and shelves to store clothes, etc. Inadequate hanging space for the number of outfits we needed. Car park so small that it was necessary to reverse out onto the busy highway on one occasion, due to the car park being nearly full.
