La Salvia • 1864 Stone House by the Lima River

La Salvia was never designed as a holiday rental. It is a home we fell in love with, restored by our own hands and now thoughtfully shared with guests who appreciate authentic Tuscany.

Perfectly located just 20 minutes from Lucca and around an hour from Pisa Airport, La Salvia is an ideal base for exploring northern Tuscany—from the beaches of Versilia to the Apennine hiking trails, medieval villages and the ski slopes of Abetone.

The Real Tuscany

At the heart of the house is the traditional Tuscan Cantina, created as a place to gather around the table, enjoy local wine, share long dinners and embrace the slower rhythm of Tuscany.

Guest access

Our guests can use the entire house and BBQ section including the outdoor table and sun loungers and our free parking some 50 meters from La Salvia. The only two closed sections are a small storage room and the basement.


A House That Breathes

To honor the rhythm of this 1864 stone home and ensure it is perfectly prepared for your arrival, we never host back-to-back check-ins. We intentionally leave a day between guests to let the house breathe, allowing the mountain air to fully clear the rooms and giving our team the unhurried time needed to care for every detail before you cross the threshold.

Your Sleep Matters

Because everyone sleeps differently, our bedrooms offer slightly different mattress feels—from softer to firmer—all enhanced with premium memory-foam toppers so guests can choose the sleeping experience that suits them best.

Starlink

Although La Salvia invites you to slow down, high-speed Starlink internet keeps you connected whenever you need it.

Private Parking

The final approach to La Salvia follows a traditional Tuscan village lane beside the Lima River. Standard-sized cars, including most SUVs, have no difficulty reaching our private parking area. However, exceptionally long or particularly wide vehicles (such as large vans or oversized SUVs) may find the final stretch less suitable. If you're travelling with a larger vehicle and are unsure, please feel free to contact us before your arrival—we'll be happy to advise.

From the private parking, a one-minute walk beside the Lima River leads you to the house—a small arrival ritual that gently marks the transition from everyday life to La Salvia.
