The hotel has a great location right across from the train station and the cable car. The building is showing its age a bit, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, and the staff were very helpful. All in all, we had a great stay there.

Probably the best deal in Bad Gastein. Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, in a great location right next to the train station, ski lift and supermarket.

The front desk waited for us until we arrived at 8:00 pm which was very nice of them and we had 2 rooms close to each other. There were a few restaurants and many sports shops a walking distance from the hotel. When we arrived to the second floor with the elevator, we found out that we have another 6-7 stairs to climb with the language to get to the rooms…. The bathroom in one of the rooms was tiny and there was not any body soap or shampoo in both rooms. The worst part was that every 15 minutes a train passed, literally in front of the hotel (200 yard/ meter). We wanted to sleep with the balcony door open because it was hot and there was no A/C, but it was impossible, due to the noise.

Pro: Wir waren 3 Nächte da, zum schlafen war das ausreichend, saubere Bettwäsche und Handtücher, frische Kaiserbrötchen zum Frühstück, eine Sorte Brot, gekochte Eier, 2-3 Käsesorten, genauso viel Wurst, alles frisch. Abschließbarer Schuppen für die Fahrräder. Parkmöglichkeiten hinten im Hof. Zentral gelegen. Kontra: wenn man länger bleibt, braucht man etwas mehr Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet, der Kaffe ist sehr dünn, kann aber Geschmacksache sein. Der Teppichboden im Zimmer ist fleckig/ dreckig, man braucht auf jeden Fall Schlappen.

Preis-Leistung ist TOP. Wer bereit ist bei Komfort und Luxus Einschränkungen in Kauf zu nehmen, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Ich war im Januar 2024 mit meinem Hund in einem ruhigen Einzelzimmer im hinteren Gebäudetrakt untergebracht.

Preis - Leistung OK

um diesen Preis darf man sich nicht beschweren, dafür gibt es auch keinen Luxus. für ein/zwei Nächte ok. war bereits im Winter da, jetzt ein zweites mal und komme sicher wieder; super Lage, Preis / Leistung passt, nett, schicke Bierstube und vor allem - das Augustiner :-)
