"Stayed for 5 nights in this classic hotel. The courtyard garden is beautiful, a lovely place to dine and the pool is the perfect temperature to cool down after a hot day sightseeing. Friendly & helpful staff. "
"Great base while attending concert at south of France arena. Free parking outside hotel.
Friendly reception. Free coffee available in breakfast area.
Excellent location for walking to historic centre on foot, bridge across canal.
Large supermarket very close by."
"Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel des 4 Vents. Owner was friendly - not sure if he speaks English; i conversed with him in French. We had a family room with excellent and quiet aircon. Linen etc changed upon request if you want. Lovely pool, which was a godsend in the very hot weather. We had breakfast one morning which was reasonable value,
But with 2 supermarkets and a boulangerie within 5 mins walk you mighr as well do your own - there is a table and chairs outside each room in a semi...
"Je conseille vraiment ce lieu magique et magnifique, l'accueil était d'une gentillesse extraordinaire, tout était parfait, je donne carrément un 25 sur 20...
L'attention Convivial était au rendez-vous par le propriétaire des lieux qui nous a fait nous sentir à l'aise.
La propreté et la décoration est excellente.
Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir..."

10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful time in May 2025 with our three boys ages 11, 9 and 7.
The club is beautiful and well maintained. Pools were perfect for our boys (4 pools in total if you count the kiddies pool separately).
We went to the buffet for breakfast and dinner every day. There was lots of variety but not so much that it was overwhelming. Breakfast included hot drinks and juice. Dinner included wine (self service) and water (still and sparkling).
There are two tennis courts, football pitch/basketball court, three table tennis tables and adventure playground to keep the kids entertained. All equipment can be borrowed from reception.
We flew into Nimes airport which is abut 40 minutes away. You can get a shuttle bus to/from the airport into Nimes centre and then a bus to/from Le Grau-Du-Roi or the hotel can book a taxi transfer (which is about €130) if you phone them to book before you arrive.
We were pretty much the only English family in the resort. Mainly French families staying there. Most of the staff speak fantastic English however in the local area it was a struggle with communicating as not a super touristy place for English. That being said, we managed at shops and restaurants and used Google translate when needed!
Our room was nice and comfortable. Compact but enough space. Stairs to upstairs was quite steep and narrow and could have done with a hand rail.
We honestly had the best time and would 100% recommend to families or anyone wanting to stay in this part of France."
"Very pleasant 2-night stay at Hotel Splendid, with courteous, helpful staff, and a lovely view from the balcony. Convenient to the shops, restos, and convenience store. For those not familiar with the area and arriving by car, I recommend the hotel parking a couple blocks away. "
"Very good location . Well appointed except that we were asked to check the inventory and many little things were missing . I checked with the owner as one of the bed duvets was missing and he told me to forego the inventory taking .
Also, the listing does not stipulate needing bed linens and towels . I guess that they don't get many North American renters who are unaware that this is common tradition, This posed a problem as we found out only the week before and we were already in France. Fortunately, the owner found us a place where we could rent those items. Overall, the apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed . We had a bit of a problem in figuring out how to use the appliances. Once again, to someone from Europe or the UK this would pose no issues ."
"Wonderful place to stay. Price/quality of this hotel is extremely competitive. This is a very nice place to stay with lots of amenities at a great location for a great price. I highly recommend. We will come back."
