"Comfort hotel is always the best no frill hotel available to when visit Japan. It doesn’t have a lot of bell and whistle like other hotel, but it always have reasonable size room and hearty and healthy breakfast to keep you going when travelling around Japan."

"Needed to stay here because of work. Even with the air-conditioning set to 19 for the entire night, the lowest the room temperature got was 27. It was difficult to sleep and the hotel staff were quite rude. I don't recommend going here unless you absolutely have to"

"The staff really made this trip better for us. We are not traditional tourists. My husband was having an art exhibition and we had lots of luggage and work type needs. The staff helped us make a local call for an appointment and called a taxi for us.
The room was wonderful. I wish they would add a few detailes to their website so that its clear the delux studio has a wash machine in the roomand soap. However, this is minor in the grand scheme of things.
The location can't be beat. There is a grocery store right around the corner and so many popular sights to walk to."
"We had a lovely stay at this accommodation in late Sept. It was clean, modern and the beds are very comfortable. They had a higher-end washer and dryer (combo) machine for use. I stayed at another place and they only had washer option, so I had to hang dry my clothes. I did use their washer/dryer so it was useful, especially after the rain. We weren’t drenched but I wanted to have clean clothes.
The room decor is pretty and I love the wall mural. Self check-in was super easy and the staff were always quick to respond to any questions I had. Virtual Staff is professional and friendly. We were coming back from Universal Studios in Osaka and weren’t sure if we would be able to check-in before midnight, but they assured us it was fine if we came after midnight. We came before midnight so it worked out. I noticed an area for suitcase storage and thought that was useful. It is unmanned so you have to lock or secure it yourself if needed.
This place is in a quiet neighborhood and a Family Mart is steps away. They provided complimentary umbrellas at the entrance which was so handy because it did rain when we went out to dinner in Pontocho. We returned the umbrella after we came back.
Location is nice for a leisurely walk by the river and to Nishiki market.
Gion is such a cool area and we really like this accommodation. I recommend this place to others and we would come back and stay here again too.

"A beautiful and modern style hotel! The rooms are spacious and stunningly decorated. The staff were lovely and welcoming. The location is super convenient for catching trains, buses or even walking to local sites. "
