"I really enjoyed my room , large , super comfortable bed . Fantastic Bathroom and amenities .. All staff were super friendly and helpful . Hotel comfortable , clean , safe and warm . A few strikes in the Food department, zero crisps or snacks available after the kitchen closed in the lounge bad , no vending or late room service , also large breakfast . I had porridge and full cooked with fresh pot of coffee , toast and OJ . The service was fabulous the waitress even found me my request for cinnamon for my porridge which was very kind , coffee in a pot hot &fresh , hot toast . However the cooked breakfast , the haggis had a peculiar fish taste , the black pudding was very dry as was the Lorna sausage , the back bacon a bit too Smokey for my taste . Overall the chef needs some work but the hotel and staff were fabulous , accommodating , kind and friendly . I would return . By the way it’s part of the horse racetrack . Lovely grounds and an interesting backdrop ."
