We go to Catalina at least twice a year, it has been our relaxing go-to for many years.
We looked forward to relaxation at this wonderful property and yes, this is a beautiful home with fantastic views. Unfortunately, the local property management company does not communicate with the owner. We booked this property 4 months in advance. We were suddenly woken up on Saturday morning at 6:45 by people on the roof, yelling at each other and chain saws buzzing and footsteps banging. A large tree on the property over the house was being cut- so much work that we couldn't get out of the house because the narrow street was blocked. This obviously ruined our day and our relaxation. The property company did eventually come and help us get out. We asked the representative if we could get some compensation for the time lost, by extending our check out time to later. He agreed and said sure, he was sorry.
When checkout time came, the maids showed up angry that we were not gone. Nobody communicated to them our updated checkout time.
Oh, and we also had a plumbing problem on the first day and two sets of plumbers had to show up to make a sink and shower function.
We again asked for some type of credit or anything from the property management company- They flat out refused and said none of it was their problem.
This is NOT how to run a property management company. so wrong.
We would appreciate some type of credit.
