Wonderful Spring Break Getaway
We really enjoyed our time at this beautiful casita with all the nature around us and impressive views of the lake. Just what we needed to relax and get away from it all. Loved walking the trails and enjoyed the hilltop grill, the breeze and the views were the perfect place for cozy chats. The beach club is a 5min drive and so pretty, even if you don’t swim. So much to take in, admire and enjoy. The owners were very attentive and answered all our questions immediately. We really had a wonderful time and will be back!!

Family Spring Break
This property was wonderful. The pictures are accurate - furnishings and views. The home was spotless when we arrived - kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, living room, porches. The neighborhood is a quiet and private with an expansive view of the lake and surrounding hill country. The home is the most comfortable rental in which we have ever stayed, a truly relaxing place to recharge! Joe was very responsive to messages and check in/check out was a breeze.

Joe and Amy are the absolute BEST! We housed family members at their gorgeous and spacious home during a wedding and everyone was so pleased. My sister 'the neat freak' was SUPER happy with the cleanliness. Wonderful location!

The location had a beautiful view and the outside patio was enjoyable. We were two couples - one stayed upstairs and the other downstairs - and so each had some privacy with den/dining room area a great meet-up space.

F1 race

House in The Hollows
Beautiful home nestled on hilltop , spectacular views of the lake. We spent most of our time on the deck & ate our meals out there. The house was clean, & comfortable. We would recommend staying here & look forward to returning soon.

Unforgettable Vacation!!
The Castillo Casita is absolutely beautiful! My family and I have struggled with the decision to travel due to on-going concerns with COVID-19. So, as you can imagine, I was extremely concerned with the cleanliness of the home selected as our vacation spot. Not only were we comfortable with the selected location, it was obvious there was a lot of attention given to the care of this home. The most amazing part of the stay was the view from both the lower and upper balconies. Totally breathtaking! The upper balcony sits outside the master bedroom suite. The morning breeze while relaxing on the balcony was priceless! The owner provides a grill on the lower deck which makes it easy for families to enjoy without having to go offsite. My family enjoyed both breakfast and dinners on the balcony. The home is very comfortable and inviting. The owner provides a great movie selection, Alexa option for music, and fun board/card games. The owner, Joe, was extremely nice throughout this process. As soon as I selected his home for our vacation, he contacted me directly to greet me. He was very efficient in delivering documents requiring signatures and made sure my family and I were comfortable in his home. Great property! Great location! Great service! Great owner! I highly recommend the Castillo Casita!

Family celebration weekend
The Castillo Casita sits on a hill over looking the lake . The view was amazing from the well furnished decks. We had 7 people 19+ age and the house was perfect. Well stocked kitchen for cooking big meals and 3 bathrooms made it easy for our group. Hollows Resort Lake Travis was a great holiday . The owner was so personable and communicated and answered all questions and quickly and welcomed us with flowers and snacks ! Thanks for wonderful weekend !

Super enjoyable weekend trip at Lake Travis. The house is in a great location, about an hour outside of Austin. The top floor balcony has amazing views. Joe was a great host, very responsive and let us check-in early. Highly recommended!!

Great Lake view house
Our weekend here was wonderful! The view of the lake was amazing, the house was very clean, we didn’t encounter any major issues, If we needed something the owner was very quick to response great experience. We took advantage of the available amenities around the house, hiking of the trails, swimming in the lake, smokehouse grill, and just relaxing on the balconies taking in the sunset and listening to nature.

Great family friendly home!
My daughter, husband, and I booked this house for the 4th of July weekend. Beautiful views of the lake and fireworks! The two decks made the trip worth it, with plenty of outdoor furniture for our local friends to stop by for a bbq! The kids also loved the neighborhood pool, which is gorgeous. Highly recommend and would stay again.

A nice clean home with a good view
The home was very nice. Did notice that the sheets on the bed in at least one of the rooms had not been washed. Problem with one of the toilets making a loud noise the entire stay. Also there were no blankets on any of the beds. ( Just sheets and a light quilt. Overall for the price, it was a nice home, just a few little things needed tending to. Note -it is not as close to downtown Austin as I believed it would be, at least a good hour drive.

A great vacation is always better with a wonderful view. Two large decks, each with views that were miles long and across a glittering lake, made this a spectacular location for our weekend getaway. The house was roomy, open, and well-equipped and maintained, with plenty of natural light. The house and entire development were very nicely landscaped. It was such a relaxing pleasure to be there. We took advantage of the hot tub available at the "beach club." The pools were beautiful too, but we were a little late in the season to enjoy those this time, since it was a crisp November weekend. We also loved the walking trails. We intended to build a fire outside at the smokehouse fire pit, but couldn't ever drag ourselves away from the upper balcony and lake view in the evening to go and do that. The host kindly checked on us after we arrived, and was accessible for questions. Would highly recommend this rental.

WONDERFUL!! Photos and description are spot on and if anything don't do enough justice to this wonderful property and experience. Working with the owner was hassle-free, seamless and easy, as well. There was four of us old friends in the Austin area for the annual Formula 1 race; I had set up this accommodation for us this year and my friends were amazed at what I was able to obtain for us at such a reasonable price. The house and property was spotless and reeked of cleanliness upon arrival. The pictures don't do even begin to show how immensely stunning the views are of the lake. The neighborhood is QUIET throughout the day and evening; you could hear a pin drop at night and it was a nice change of pace from my typical hurried city-life. The closest grocery store isn't too close (as stipulated in the description and other reviews), but it's not that far and with proper planning is no issue. All in all we were extremely satisfied with our stay and would highly recommend this BEAUTIFUL property for anyone looking to get away - thanks for having us!!

Beautiful view of Lake Travis
Rented this for a girls weekend and had the most wonderful time! The property had a gorgeous view of Lake Travis and was tucked back with a very nice resort area feel. Very fast and east drive to the Hollows Marina! The property owner was also very quick to respond and easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone!

Awesome scenic home on a hill top
This home was beautiful. The view from the second floor of the home is breathtaking. The sunrises and sunsets really made the trip worthwhile. We have photos taken from the terrace that look like post cards. We plan to frame and mount them in our home. This home was roomy, with up to date kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. It was very comfortable. There is a beach club and marina available for your use. Be sure to get instructions and codes to access these amenities, however. We wasted precious time trying to figure this out. Other than that, our trip was amazing. The home was literally on a hill top. I know we will go back in the future.

Really enjoyed this clean house with family. Upper deck and views are wonderful. Gas grill is nice and convenient for cooking meals. The Hollows has very well kept swimming pools and a paved walking trail. Read the other reviews, take extra washcloths and hand towels. I noticed Trundle bed did not have a top sheet.

Great view of the lake
We had 6 people for 7 nights. We did some cooking at the house. There is a grill on the lower deck. The kitchen is supplied with plenty of dishes, several pots and pans and a cookie sheet. The owner supplied adequate amounts of paper goods, laundry detergent, and dish detergent. We stayed late in the season so the Beach Club restaurant was closed and the pools were too cool to use and the spas were not heated, but the house worked very nicely for us.

House was cute, everything seemed brand new
The house was perfect for what we needed it for, however there were a couple of issues. In the master bedroom, the bed sheets had hair in them when we pulled them back the first time. It was like they hadn't been washed. We threw them in the wash and went on our way. Also, the upstairs master toilet was running and would only stop when we adjusted the levers inside the top part. Otherwise, the house was very nice and the views of the lake were great!

Loved the property. Everything was very tidy. The furnishings and bedding were very nice and as pictured. Loved the beach club pools-it was about a 5 minute drive. Wish the hot tubs had been heated. This area is rather remote. We were planning on eating out at a restaurant, but changed our minds and just ate in. The Beach Club has food, we would have planned on eating there if we had known they served food. We loved the beautiful view from the upstairs deck at the house. Checkin and checkout were very easy. We had this for a mothers and daughters weekend and we all had a great time.

A Wonderful Texas Family Adventure
Our family chose this lovely home to be our base as we explored the Texas hill country, Austin, and San Antonio. This house was great for the six of us - two adults and four children ages 10-16. We had plenty of room to spread out. The home was comfortable and well maintained. We couldn't get enough of the spectacular views from the upstairs covered deck! We enjoyed the the pools, which we found to be surprisingly not crowded at all even in the Texas summer heat. The owner, Joe, went out of his way to ensure we had a wonderful vacation despite an issue he discovered with the air conditioning before we arrived - which was promptly repaired. He made sure we were cool and comfortable and didn't miss a day of enjoying our precious family time. We would highly recommend this rental.

Great weekend getaway with girls
We had a wonderful weekend. The house is beautiful and comfortable and the deck views are amazing of Lake Travis. Due to the weather, we were unable to use the beach club but did check them out. They are worth going to and only a short drive from house. Lots of restaurants nearby, we enjoyed the Oasis and Lupes Tortilla. We are definitely planning on coming back here in the summer to do lake activities! This was my first time to use homeaway and the owners were very quick to respond, answer questions and were extremely nice and helpful! Thank you so much!

Wonderful house on the hill!
The house, views of the lake are all as shown in the pictures - just gorgeous! We felt right at home in Casa Castillo, the kitchen is very well appointed and we made good use of it. The house is very nicely decorated and comfortable, we began to relax as soon as we walked in the door. We enjoyed the trails, pool, the grill, and the gorgeous view of the lake.
