"Stayed here for a quick family weekend getaway around Austin. Friendly and helpful staff, newly renovated and clean rooms with location close to Capitol, restaurants (including their highly-rated onsite restaurant, Carolines). We got a higher floor and had a nice view of the surrounding buildings.
Note that this hotel is right next to and in the same building as their sister property (element Hotel which seems like a slightly lower grade hotel). Same entry way for both hotels but check in desks are on different floors.
Cons were that valet parking was $65 per night with in and out privileges. Public parking across the street is about $35 but no in and out privileges. Also the first night we stayed, out toilet clogged but handyman cam within 15 minutes. Also no swimming pool.
We would definitely stay here again!"
