  • This is just one of many spectacular views from a walk entitled "Pas Du Loup". We started at Capluc, a cross on a peak above Le Rozier and did the entire circuit. It's still comfortably in my top ten all time great walks. If you suffer acrophobia it's one to be avoided. The area is also something of a mecca for rock climbers. The whole Goreg du Tarn is a special place for me because the tourist buses don't go there and it's reputedly the deepest gorge in Europe.

Wonderful hideaway!

Very calm place with lots of character - the perfect place to relax. Charming small old farm that has been renovated to good level of comfort. Great for a party of 2. Good options for hiking and biking in the area.

Lovely cottage in a nice forest area

We have enjoyed the lovely nature in a beautiful renovated cottage. In the area around the cottage there are many hiking trails and charming villages to explore. The host couple were extremely welcoming and helpful.

Sympathiek en warm onthaal. Het huis ligt in een heel rustige omgeving met een prachtige uitzicht. Afgelegen, maar, voor de regio, toch vlot overal dichtbij. Heel verzorgde gîte met mooi terras, bij minder mooi weer is het vermoedelijk wel wat klein voor 4 personen Keuken voorzien van het nodige materiaal, maar wel klein en niet zo praktisch voor wie graag zelf kookt. We hebben genoten van de hernieuwde kennismaking met de streek.

De belles randonnées dans un cadre reposant

Idéalement située au coeur du Parc national des Cévennes, le mas Castagnère offre tout ce dont un randonneur a besoin après une journée de marche. maison agencée avec goût et salle de bains au top.Il faut quand même prévoir de faire son shopping pour plusieurs jours si on ne veut pas prendre la voiture trop souvent

sehr schön gelegen, absolut ruhig in der Natur, schön hergerichtete alte Bausubstanz, großes Gelände, wir haben den urlaub genossen! sehr freundliche Vermieter, hilfreiche Tipps. Allerdings sind 75.-€ für die Endreinigung von einem Bad, einem Schlafzimmer und einer Wohnküche ungewöhnlich hoch, auch in Anbetracht, dass wir für 7 tage zB pro Person 1 Handtuch und in der Küche keine Spülhandtücher hatten

Un séjour reposant et impressionnant

Le séjour dans le gîte La Castagnère nous a beaucoup plu, l’authenticité du lieu nous a impressionnés et pour les repas et la lecture, nous avons bien profité de la terrasse ombragée. L’intérieur était bien équipé, cependant pour nous des verseuses isothermes pour le thé et le café auraient perfectionné l’équipement. Comme beaucoup d’Allemands, nous buvons du café-filtre pour le petit déjeuner et nous aimons boire du thé à l’après-midi. Le gîte est le lieu idéal soit pour se reposer, soit pour des activités sportives comme des randonnées ou des circuits à vélo.

un havre de paix

Ce gite est un véritable havre de paix pour ceux qui recherchent des vacances en pleine nature, loin des flots de touristes. Nous avons tout particulièrement apprécié l'accès à la rivière. Le gite est bien équipé, propre et plein de charme. Les propriétaires nous ont vraiment accueillis chaleureusement et parlent de cette région avec une passion communicative. Encore un grand merci à eux pour le bon séjour passé dans les Cévennes.

Excellent et reposant séjour dans ce gîte qui correspond tout à fait à la description. L'aménagement de cet ancien grenier à paille est optimum, très joliment fait. Très chaleureux accueil des propriétaires, cadeau de bienvenue et bons conseils oraux et documents à disposition pour découvrir et apprécier la région. Randonnée au mas Camargue magnifique, visite et restaurant à la Garde Guerin, Villefort, Les Vans entre autres, nous avons sillonné en voiture et en vélo cette superbe région bien vallonnée...... Le plus, l'accès à la rivière, dommage qu'il n'y ait pas plus d'eau pour pouvoir y nager. Le tout petit moins, l'accès au wifi ne se fait que dans la chambre. Nous conseillons absolument ce gîte. Superbe séjour à la Castagnère

Nous avons passés un agréable séjour, le gîte correspond vraiment à la description de l'annonce. l'accueil et la convivialité des propriétaires étaient excellents et ils nous ont très bien guidés dans les endroits et les activités à faire dans la région (lac de Villefort, la grotte de la Cocalière, le mas de la barque, la Clède Peyric,...) En bref un endroit vraiment riche en découverte...

accueil très chaleureux

couple avec 2 enfants (4 et 7 ans), à la recherche de vacances au calme, loin des touristes... Nous avons été comblés : le gite est situé dans un hameau avec accès rapide à la rivière ( à pied ou un peu plus loin en voiture sur indication des propriétaires), ce gite est bien situé car nous avons accès à de nombreuses randonnées faciles au cœur du parc naturel des Cévennes à moins de 30 minutes de voiture. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et sympathiques, ils vous donneront toutes les informations nécessaires pour passer un agréable séjour "ambiance campagne", loin du tumulte quotidien de la ville... Pour les enfant : accès à un grand champs, sans route à traverser : la liberté! et nous recommandons de faire une randonnées avec un âne (1/2 journée), ils ont adoré!

Quel endroit ! Cet appartement dans cette bâtisse du 13ème siècle a été restauré avec un gout exquis par les propriétaires. L'appartement allie le charme d’une vieille demeure au confort et à l’aménagement bien du 21ème siècle. L’environnement n’est pas en reste, avec les près et forêts de châtaigniers ou de pins à perte de vue. Et quel calme ! Les alentours avec le lac de Villefort, le château d’Aujac (ou a été tourné un des films du festival de Cannes 2013), et bien d’autres lieux encore, que je n’ai malheureusement pu voir en une semaine de séjour. Vous aurez, peut-être , comme moi, la chance, à votre réveil de croiser une biche dans le près attenant. Quel spectacle ! C’est sur j’ai pris rendez-vous pour l’an prochain…. Un peu plus longtemps !
