The hotel has great staff, everyone there was extremely helpful and friendly. On the first day, we arrived early from a night flight and were sleepy and jet lagged. The reception manager gave us early priority check-in, which we were extremely grateful for. The breakfast has extended hours till 10:30 am and both cold and hot options were available. Loved the Greek yogurt they served so thick you could eat it with a fork. The hotel is within a walking distance to the Acropolis, Agora and the metro station. We walked everywhere. Definitely would stay there again and give my highest recommendation.

Hotel Ilissos was one of the most welcoming places in downtown Athens!!! They cared for me like family. The breakfast buffet was beautiful with many options, fresh international cuisine, clean facilities and rooms with incredible views of the acropolis! They helped me find my way with walking, directions the bus and Subway and how to live like a local, even though I was a tourist. I’ll definitely be back!

We've had an amazing time. From front staff, breakfast and dining to the views and location it was amazing. The 7th floor bar and the team members that served us and provided recommendations are second to. Nicholas, Theodore and Mike are like family to us. Quiet neighborhood with restaurants and close to major attractions. Lovely hotel with helpful staff and AMAZING views of the Acropolis. Small room, but was clean and comfortable.

Wonderful view from the terrace snack bar to the Acropolis. The reception and service staff are most friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and ample and breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Highly recommended.

Front Desk Services is good, a lady helped us to book online tickets and when I left the hotel at 4:am ,they ordered a taxi for me and gave me a box breakfast . It’s so warm! Thanks!

Hotel is a great deal for the money. Its about a 30 minute walk to the heart of Athens. The roof top bar has a great view with good drinks and food. We ended every day there. Staff where very nice and helpful.

Comfortable 5-star Accomodations

The accommodations were great! Clean room, beds were comfortable, the whole room was very comfortable, and it is in a great location - close to the metro and walking to many parts of Athens. The concierge, Natasha, was one of our favorite people that we met. She was extremely helpful and friendly - really appreciated her help and guidance!

The location was perfect for us. No car needed with easy bus transportation. Great views from the small balcony. Host was very helpful. My only complaint is the doors to the apartment are very loud.

Pleasantly surprised

It was clean and comfortable. The front desk was welcoming and helpful. If there is more than one of you in the room, be sure to ask for two keys because one has to be used to keep the lights on for those left in the room while others go out.
