Acropolis Grand Residence, Astonishing View of the Temple of Zeus and Lycabbetus

  • Located in a 1930’s neoclassical building, directly in front of the Temple of Olympian Zeus, this masterfully completely renovated residence is a superb choice for you next stay in Athens.

    Within 50 meters distance from the pedestrian walkway leading to all important Athenian main attractions, including the Acropolis Museum (3 min walk), the Acropolis area including Parthenon monument, theater of Dionysus, the ancient Roman agora and Adrian Library (5 min walk), as well as the Plaka area.

    The three bedrooms feature a large double bed each, and the fourth bedroom two single beds. All beds are equipped with American imported mattresses and furnished with high quality linens and pillows which provides to the guests an ultimate sleeping experience. In each bedroom exist a 40’ smart TV flat screen, individual stereo system with USB doors and separately ample closet space.

    The living room features two comfortable sofas and includes a 50’ smart TV HDMI 4k flat screen with surround sound system. Three bedrooms bedrooms share a magnificent view of the ancient temple of Zeus and Lycabbetus.

    The residence also features a fully equipped kitchen including stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, Nespresso coffee machine, teapot with free English tea, filter coffee maker, kettle and toaster. There is a separate service room equipped with a washing machine, iron and ironing board and space for luggage storage. The bathrooms are fully equipped with towels and amenities such as soaps, shampoos, conditioners, shower gels and two blow dryer. The bathroom amenities are provided by the well known Greek brand “Korres”.

    The dining room area can accommodate up to 10 visitors for a complete meal.

    The house is centrally heated during the winter months as well as individually air-conditioning units.

    This apartment is considered the perfect starting point for the visitors to reach all main attractions in the center of Athens without the need of public transportation. Our residence will immediately make you feel as local!

Terrific stay at Bill and John's AGR. Location was perfect. Easy walking distance to all the Athens attractions and metro. AGR was exaclty as pictured. Staff was great - very responsive to our requests. Would definitely stay there again.

Great stay in Athens in July 2025

Great stay for a group of 8, ranging from 22 to 82, for 2 nights before a cruise. The property is close to everything, including the acropolis and the plaza district. Our kids and their friends enjoyed exploring the town and hitting the clubs at night. The are a huge variety of restaurants and shops nearby. It took a little while for the air conditioning the kick in and cool down the property (it was over 100 F outside) but the property manager was great and helped make sure everything was working before he left.

The apartment looks exactly like the listing: new, spacious and well appointed. The location couldn't be better - steps to the Acropolis and many other sights, as well as restaurants and shops. Apartment is just as pictured. Beds and linens are new and comfortable. The level of service was uncommonly good... dropped off bags before the unit was available and leave bags after checking out and they bent over backwards to make it happen.

Beds are very comfortable. Modern and convenient to the Acropolis! The team organized fantastic meals and specialized guided tours for our family of 7 ages 26 to 80. They also organized our airport transportation. The views are lovely. I would highly recommend this property for your Athens stay!

The apartment is in the perfect location for getting around Athens on foot. The staff are all very friendly. We were only there for one night and managed to lock ourselves out and they very graciously came to let us in at 11:30 at night. If they would have us, we would certainly stay again

Fantastic Spacious Apartment in Great Location

Staying at this apartment was a fantastic experience. The management team was so good at communication and were kind enough to honor our request for an earlier check in time and a bit later check out. The location is perfect - very close to the Acropolis and a wonderful shopping area with very good restaurants. The bedrooms were spacious and the apartment was very clean and very quiet. We were 3 adult couples and all were very impressed and said they would stay here again. We highly recommend this place.

Family intro to Athens

It was the perfect place for seven of us to have as our home base for ten days. Location is ideal for visiting all the sights. Spacious rooms, beautifully decorated. Comfortable for all to dine in (when we did), and the views are wonderful. The Independence Day parade was on the avenue below us so our ringside views of it were thrilling. The hosts’ whole staff was terrific, instantly responding to questions or needs. We thank them all and would return to any of their properties.

Amazing property in the center of Athens!

This property is one of the best I've ever stayed at. Firstly, the location is immecable. So close to the Acropolis! Secondly, it is so well appointed and extremely comfortable. Lastly, the team that manages this property were so communicative and easy to get a hold of. They were incredibly helpful! One thing to note is that this property is on a ma mainroad so you do get a but of car noise but it didn't bother us at all.

Perfect Place to Stay

This is the perfect place to stay in Athens. Conveniently located in the heart of the city. The place was exactly as described on the website. Whenever we had any questions about booking, amenities, etc they were extremely prompt with the replies. They offered pick up from our cruise ship and delivered us to the airport timely when it was time to leave. Everyone could not have been nicer. We had a wonderful time and created long lasting memories. Thank you so much for a wonderful time!

It doesn’t get any better

From the communication with the management team to the check in process to the apartment itself nothing could have been any better. The hosts go out of the way to help you in every facet from airport transfer to restaurants and tours. The apartment is spacious, clean, very well located, and comfortable. Everything worked and we had no issues at all. They even helped prestock the fridge for us for a small fee. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking to visit Athens.

Great apartment; lousy concierge service

This is the perfect apartment for a family or 4 couples. All the rooms were approximately the same size with 3 bathrooms, each with a shower. Location was perfect - close to Acropolis and surrounding areas. Lots of restaurants as well. My mixed review is because we had horrible communication issues with the property management. They offer to book tours and transfers for you but I repeatedly had issues with them. I won’t list them all here but my advice is to stay at this great apartment but don’t rely on them for anything else.
