Great hotel in the heart of a wonderful neighborhood that is extremely walkable to all the major sights of the city. The food surrounding is great (I recommend the pastries behind and the morning Greek yogurt and orange juice). The staff is super friendly. Also the views... Stunning!

Perfect location for our needs. 24 hour reception meant check in was not a problem. Room small, balcony had only room for one chair which wasn't represented in any photos. Bathroom was far too small with inappropriate type of shower which meant water got everywhere. Guests need to be aware that the bells from the opposite cathedral chime every half hour which meant it was not quiet. However this did not affect our overall enjoyment.

We enjoy the prime location that Hotel Metropolis offers. It is within walking distance to major attractions, especially the Acropolis, and a variety of dining options. Its proximity to the train station enhances accessibility. While nighttime noise levels were noticeable, they didn't significantly affect our stay. Cleanliness could be improved for a better guest experience. Nevertheless, considering the price, we found it to be a great value overall.

The room and view did not match the pictures and description of booking. A little disappointed, but it was a decent stay for just one night. Staff were very friendly. Super convenient to a lot of walkable attractions, shopping, and restaurants.

I arrived in Athens, I loved the staff at this hotel, very friendly and helpful, always asking if I needed anything. The location is great, close to Sintagma square and the subway, you can see the Acropolis if you get a room with a window to that side of the street, it also has a roof top with the Acrópolis view, they start to serve breakfast in the spring time. The bed was comfortable, it had a mini fridge and the water pressure was good. I will stay again at this hotel. Very good experience

급하게 숙소를 변경해서 당일 예약으로 간 곳인데 생각보다 너무 좋았습니다. 다른 리뷰에서 보면 방이나 화장실이 좁다는데 혼자 써서 그런지 별로 불편함은 없었어요. 침구류와 화장실 발매트의 청결도는 좀 아쉬웠습니다. 좀 오래된 호텔, 한국으로 따지면 모텔 정도인데 위치도 최고고 주변에 맛집들도 많아서 너무 편했어요. 대신 방음은 별로라 옆방 소리나 성당 종소리가 잘 들리긴 했는데 관광하고 돌아오면 피곤해가지고 바로 잠들어서 별로 문제되진 않았습니다. 이 정도 가격에 이 위치면 정말 최고인 거 같아요.

What a little gem! As a family of 4, we had a room with 2 double beds. Space was tight in the room, but we had the most amazing balcony space! It was about the same size as the room, and it overlooked the acropolis! Such a great location. We walked everywhere in the downtown area, including to the acropolis. The staff were so kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a standard place to crash in Athens for a couple of nights!

Tiny little hole in the wall in a safe neighborhood. Very convenient to 2 metro stops, Acropolis, Syntagma and Monastariki. Very friendly reception with high level of English. First room assigned smelled like cigarettes. Clerk moved me immediately and was very nice about it. Second room the trash had not been emptied which made the bathroom smell. The next day, the room was cleaned thoroughly and smelled very fresh. The budget room is just that...tiny space, clean but worn bedding, flimsy cupboard and desk, small but decent bathroom with teensy shower stall maybe 18 inches wide. I stayed 3 nights, and each night the noise level from a neighboring bar was extremely high (even with earplugs) but at midnight it abruptly got quiet, so no problem sleeping. Hostel quality but good choice for those on a tight budget. If you have deeper pockets, there are some nicer hotels just up the street towards syntagma square.

It was a nice, cozy hotel, only drawback is that it is in a busy area so a lot of noise from the street and a lot of steps to take. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. I should have brought a washcloth, they only had hand towels (just a suggestion for others). I guess wash cloths aren’t big in Europe lol.

It’s a small 2 star hotel, with the basics , perfect for travelers that are always on the go during the day , at night we went to the roof top and enjoy the views and relax, the lady working the breakfast in the morning at the rooftop is amazing person , so very nice, but overall, everyone it’s so nice and accommodating, definitely going back and staying at this hotel, fyi, make sure to book at least the family double room , the simple double is very small , I learned by making that mistake on my second stay , however , the hotel personnel are amazing .

Hotel limpio y bien ubicado. Las condiciones no eran las mejores. En el cuarto de mi hermana no servían ni la refrigeración ni la secadora. Ningún cuarto tenía edredón o colchas. Solo una sabana. El baño es tan pequeño que apenas cabe un niño pequeño. Pero lo peor es la atención. Cuando llevamos el hombre (un señor mayor) nos trató de manera grosera y fue muy rudo y mal educado. Ellos se equivocaron las reservas (una con un cuarto y otra con dos cuartos) y solo tenian dos cuartos. Según ellos fue Expedia quien equivocó todo. Cuando los de expedia lo llamaron lo que hizo fue gritarle al agente. Luego nos echó del hotel, sin importar que andabamos con mi madre de 82 años que anda en silla de ruedas. En su record, no una computadora sino un papel escrito a mano con nombres de los clientes, solo aparecimos mi hermana y yo. Ellos nunca se dieron cuenta que una reseva era por dos habitaciones Sencillamente el tipo no quería aceptar que se equivocaron. Para no incomodar a mi madre mi hermana trato de arreglar la situación, y nos dieron una habitación para dejar el equipaje mientras resolvían todo. El tipo luego se burlaba de nosotros y nos humillaba. He recorrido el mundo por más de 30 países y es la primera vez que nos pasa algo así. En fin, nos quedamos porque era una sola noche y por consideración a mi mamá, pero jamás recomendaría ese lugar porque es de lo que, como son los dueños quienes atienden, piensan que pueden hacer lo que les da la gana sin importar el cliente.

Dear Maricruz,Thank you for being our guest.We are very sorry you feel that way but would also like to set things straight.You had three reservations which you cancelled one at a time.Then you rebooked and cancelled again.The last time you made two reservations, 1 for 2 rooms and 1 for 1On your email you asked if you could check in early and we replied that you can come to the hotel and if the rooms are ready you can check in right away otherwise you could leave your luggage with us.At your arrival at 09:00 you mentioned the name on the reservation for 2 rooms and insisted that on this name you have three rooms, the receptionist showed the list if you see your name anywhere else and you could not see it.He then suggested you put all the luggage in the room that is ready and we will let you know as they come ready and see what is wrong with your "third" room and we will fix it, to which you declined and in the mean time harassed other guests already staying with us.All your friends apologised for your abusive behaviour and they spotted the "third" room that was under a different name I can't know if it was your sister or another relative but the room was there.Rooms might be small but everything is working, the hairdryer has a trigger as well as on on/off switch on the base, if there Wass any problem we would love to fix it but it was never mentioned.

Amazing views, nice staff, centrally located for walking everywhere, a bit load because of the church bells going off early in the morning all through the hours, not just on the hour and half hour. For the location I thought the city noise was fairly quiet.

At the time of check-in I thought I made a big mistake for this hotel with such tiny space of lobby with few steps up to get to the elevator. However, we soon found out the bed is comfortable, the best location in Athens, and delightful rooftop breakfast accommodation with Acropolis view. All four of us had a wonderful experience.

DO NOT EVEN CONTEMPLATE STAYING IN THIS DUMP!!!!!!!I have stayed in Hostels that are better than this! There is absolutely nothing to like about this hotel, the bathroom was full of mould all over ceiling, shower curtain and floor tiles..it was noisy, dirty and small. Air conditioning that does not work…. The church bell opposite rings every half hour all night….nothing like it is advertised! Could not open windows as fly screens all torn…. It does not even deserve one star! But unfortunately this is the lowest you can give…Even if it was free I would not stay there!!!!! Sadly we had booked to return on our final leg of our trip, but we cancelled as it would be too depressing to finish our European holiday in such a dive. Unfortunately they declined to refund our money….False advertising and reviews. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!!!!

Dear Kim,We would like to mention that as you know all reviews are from actual guests that must stay with us before leaving a comment so I find your comments offending for our guests.You have had a reservation with us and although you could cancel it for free you waited for the very last moment to do it and rooms are not sold easily the last moment if sold at all, your room was only sold for one night after you cancelled.You had a booking with an Online Travel Agency and paid them directly there is nothing from us to be refunded and not only that we pay commission to cancellation costs also.Your review was expected as you have threatened and I quote "... I requested a refund through Expedia but unfortunately you declined, I will be giving extremely bad reviews on any site that has your hotel advertised..." Great location, spectacular view of the Parthenon from the roof top. Breakfast was fantastic. The rooms are very small, we had very little room to place our suitcases and because of the fantastic location, it can be a bit loud for a light sleeper.
