Property was as listed. Quiet. Clean. The back deck with hot tub was the highlight. Had to call to ask a question about our stay and they picked up first ring. Very helpful. Would recommend!
From the moment we stepped into the cabin, it was amazing! Everything was clean, organized, and guest ready! Although we spent one night, we left feeling refreshed and connected with nature! The hot tub was a big plus!
For being just a weekend getaway it was sure perfect. Beyond satisfied with the cabin it was such a rustic home feeling. To be in the woods with nothing but you it was perfect being able to star gaze and relax in the hot tub while it was raining it was the perfect oasis not just that being 20 mins from hocking state park
Loved our stay. The cabin was lovely and super clean. Everything we needed. The hot tub was perfect. I did have to call and get check in code, but communication was great and we got right in. Looking forward to staying again!
This is a great location and my partner and I had a good time. The only drawbacks were that there was no hot water in the shower.. and I was slightly worried we were going to have issues checking in, as I had to message and then call for the check in code. Other than that, was a good stay and we would return.
It was a very nice stay. We were disheartened when the listing stated that a grill was provided and we brought all food to grill, and we arrived and did not have a grill… we had to cook on a tiny plug in burner that our food barely fit in the pans on… the power did go out completely one night but that is no fault to anyone it was just a bit of a hassle lol. It is a very nice cabin and we LOVED the hot tub and the swing inside the cabin.
Overall, a very nice stay. The cabin itself and the hot tub were pristine. The cooking burners were not clean and had some dried egg still on it but otherwise worked well. The fireplace was a nice addition. Some of the material in the binder (QR codes for info) was out of date or non-functional but the property manager was very responsive by text. Check in was easy though it would have been more helpful to have that emailed to us prior to our stay. Beautiful location and loved the hanging chair. Thank you!

NYE stay
Our stay was nice and cozy. Fireplace was the perfect touch along with the hot tub. We did not receive check in information and had to contact VRBO customer service to get a number to call. Tried calling host again in the am for a hot water issue with no response. Otherwise great stay. Be aware that there is no local Stores/restaurants close so make sure you bring all your food in. Place did have a stovetop burner, toaster oven, microwave, and toaster. You can buy firewood on site. Lack of communication and instruction was frustrating but otherwise a nice getaway.

Cute Cabin,
Overall, the stay was pretty good. The Cabin was nicely decorated, and hot tub was amazing! However, I would warn if you are coming during the fall, it sounds like you are getting attacked all night by the falling nuts on the metal roof. My husband and I did not get much sleep due to how loud they were. Also the listing states oven, however it's only a toaster oven that is situated on top of the fridge, which made it difficult to use. A few other things that I would change as well would be there was nowhere to put your clothes. There was a rod hung up when you came in the door but no hangers to hang up your clothes or no dresses to unpack as well. The only other suggestion I would have is that in the kitchen there is no window dressings so if you come out of the bathroom which is directly across from the window, or inside from the hot tub you also have to walk by it.

Bed bugs and terrible communication
We never received any check in information. I had to reach out to VRBO customer service because the host was not responsive to messages. Once VRBO got in contact with the host we were able to get our check in information. We talked to our neighbor who arrived the same time we did and they never received any info either and could not get ahold of the host.
Now the most disturbing part of our stay. The cabin was clean and looked very nice. We truly enjoyed our stay despite the check in issues. We traveled from our home, to the cabin and then back to our home. The cabin was the only place our luggage was besides our vehicle. When we returned home we found bed bugs in our luggage. We don’t have them in our home. We didn’t check the cabin for them while we were there. But sometime between when we left our home to us returning home, we picked up bed bugs in our luggage. I contacted the host immediately and surprisingly enough, they actually responded this time. The host claims they had an inspection done AFTER the current guests left, 2 days later. And the inspection determined there were no bed bugs. The inspection report also showed that the host was not charged for the inspection. Do with that info as you will. We were not offered any type of refund, compensation or even an apology.
The cabin was a steel framed one, not a log cabin. The greatest frustration was check in: I spent one hour trying to get past security codes and the like with the message for giving me the access code to the door lock on the cabin. I finally got the information by calling the property manager, whose name and telephone number ideally would have been sent in the email I received with the address. The electronic communication/IT did not work. I am not sure who was responsible for such poor communication regarding the access code to the door: the owner, the management company, or the manager---regardless, it was completely inappropriate.
The inside was clean, had a microwave, toaster oven, two burner portable electric plate stored below the sink, fridge, small table with stools stored under the table. The back porch faced the woods. The hot tub worked well and was the appropriate temperature and clean. The covers to the tub had flaps which were torn. The furniture on the porch was metal with no cushions.
There was a one person shower stall, again clean, with one plastic bottle of foam hand soap on the sink.
The environment was remote even by Hocking Hills standards, and the cabin located on a gravel road. The beginning of the road saw a junk yard, which did not lead to great expectations on my part. Again, the most frustrating part was check in. There were occasional gunshots and firecrackers after dark, but this did not bother me.
The cabin cost in the 300s per night.
My husband and I loved our stay at firefly landing. It's not far from many things to do down in the area. About 25 to 30 minutes from many of the caves and trails in hocking hills. Loved the private tub especially after a day of hiking.
The cabin was okay. Didn’t expect the entire cabin to smell of firewood, especially with these temps! Shower was small. I didn’t care for how close the cabins are to one another. Need more seclusion from one another.
Cabin was very nice. Loved the hot tub. Check out time was 11 but people knocked on the door saying check out time was 10. Overall, a good experience would stay here again.
