"Staying at this farm was the perfect way to disconnect from busy city life and truly enjoy nature. Ken was incredibly friendly, sharing stories about how life is lived in this neighborhood and making the experience feel very authentic. The sunset here is absolutely amazing, and we really enjoyed the sundowner while taking in the beautiful views. Ken even shared some fresh vegetables grown on the farm, which made the stay feel even more special. Bathing here was also such a unique and relaxing...

"The homestay was a good experience in general but was quite far from Cat Ba Town. We were able to hire bicycles and ride to the national park and go hiking but there wasn't anything else that could be accessed without motorised transport. The rooms were ok, but in need of some maintenance. Bathrooms need updating and wallpaper was peeling off the ceilings. There were spiders and a centipede in the room but it was fine once we removed the critters. Lots of farm sounds with roosters, barking dogs...

"The place is located at South Avenue within the ancient city, near to Pingyao South Gate, or 15min walking distance from Small South Gate (alternative, take buggy for 10yuan). The signage for Hongyuyuan hotel was not obvious, it is easier to find using address. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The place is an ancient building, do not expect perfect heating during winter. Food and massage are nearby, is very convenient. The hotel have an restaurant, the food is not bad"
