Wow have stayed at The Village Ashton before but they have obviously improved things. Bed incredibly comfortable, little extras in room, huge TV and a fitness ball and mat in room. Check in smooth and easy. Will definitely stay again and recommend.

I’ve stayed here a few times. I just really love the spa, pool and steam room which stays open until 10pm. The hotel is right next to half a dozen restaurant chains. Staff are friendly and appropriate. I did wake up to a raven knocking on the window one morning, like a day after I had told a story to my girlfriend about a raven knocking on my window elsewhere. That was in 2014, but it hasn’t happened the three times I have stayed there recently. Ha ha. The curse must be lifted. There is a great looking sports bar downstairs, but I haven’t used it. If I need to stay in the Manchester area for any reason I will go and stay here.

Great leisure facilities

The village hotel has excellent facilities and friendly staff. The rooms are a nice size and the cushions where nice and soft. The only issue is if you are on the back of the hotel the noise from the gym fans are to loud and keep your awake. The hotel is definitely worth a visit.

It’s always very difficult to beat a village hotel and if you’ve been to them before you know what you’re getting this one did not disappoint. Super clean room very comfortable bed lovely shower, clean soft towels and all the facilities, including of course the gym and swimming pool that you could want. You just won’t find better for the price.

Hotel is covered in scaffolding whilst the cladding gets done so not very welcoming. People banging and knocking on doors in the middle of the night. Unable to use gym facilities until check in without an extra charge, which I think is poor. Good location for the tram to Ethiad and retail park with restaurants next to hotel.

Arrival was disappointing the building was full of scaffold along the bedroom windows as cladding being replaced. Lots of people stood outside makeshift entrance smoking. No instructions in room for air con so very hot and couldn’t open window due to road noise and then builders in morn. Bed was the worst so uncomfortable but hopefully with the build works the rooms are being tackled to so should all resolve it self. Staff kind and helpful. Gym:pool no notice it was public and swimming lessons on so didn’t use it. Very very busy facility, great location for trams
